Enduring Love

Nothing I have done. No riches I have gained
Nothing I have written. No fame that I’ve attained
Nothing in this life can ever take the place
Of your enduring love and your amazing grace

I look up at the heavens and see the stars so bright
The dawn will soon awaken and birds will sing delight
All nature points to you and sings their songs of praise
For your enduring love and your amazing grace

CHORUS
All that I am I owe to you
All that I’ll be. All that I’ll do
I will forever sing your praise
Enduring love. Amazing grace

I look back at my past and see all you have done
My sins you bore alone. My victory you’ve won
And now I can not help but sing my song of praise
For your enduring love and your amazing grace

BRIDGE
I look ahead to what the future holds
I know there’s much that you would have me know
I yield myself to run this lifelong race
Enduring love. Amazing grace

I am always amazed when I hear people say they don’t believe in God. All of nature shows Him to us. He gave us this creation so we could see how much He loves us. Do you really think this just happened by chance? That humming birds somehow gained the ability to fly in place, their wings beating at 10 to 15 times a second? Or that the stars just happened to align themselves to form a big and a small dipper? Or that one star could be at the center of all stars and show us true north, becoming a means of navigation? How could that happen if things just scattered at a big bang? How could one planet be exactly far enough away from a sun to form plant life? How could animals even start to exist without a divine creator to begin the process? How could DNA become so complex without a designer? These questions, and so many more, need to be answered if one does not believe in a God who gives us all things.

As for me, I know He is real. I know he loves me. I know He has had grace upon me. I know He is with me every day. I know He carries me when I am down, heals me when I am sick, delivers me when I am in bondage and encourages me when I am discouraged. He calms my storms and gives me peace. He bore my sorrows and replaces them with joy. I am so thankful for His amazing grace and His enduring love. I don’t want to live without Him

John 15:5 King James Version (KJV)
5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Overflow

The priceless love of Jesus
Flows down from heavens throne
His precious blood was spilled for me
That day He died alone

All that he did for me
On the cross of Calvary
Is written in His word
For all to see

I want to know your love, Lord
I want to have it in my heart
I want to know your love, Lord
Fill me up, Fill my cup

Overflow, Lord, overflow
Let the river of your love flow through me
Overflow, Lord, overflow
Let the river of your love flow through me

In John Chapter 4 Jesus told the Samaritan woman that rivers of living water would be given to her if she would drink of the water He had to give. She looked around and saw that he had no cistern or cup, and had nothing to draw water from the well. She asked how he could give her water when He had no way to draw it. What is this living water? How can rivers of it flow through me?

The answer to that has taken me years to figure out. I may still not have it quite right but I will share with you what the Lord is sharing with me. The living water is those precious fruit of the Spirit that come to dwell inside us once we get saved. These attributes of love, joy, peace, long-suffering,, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance are not only ours to enjoy, but also ours to distribute to others. These things should flow out of your life to everyone you meet, so much so that they want what you have. We must make a habit of regularly filling ourselves up again so that we have more to distribute. We can’t just sit back and enjoy our salvation and do nothing. These things will flow out of your life at first, but then they will slowly get corrupted, as a vehicle does with rust, until the fruit are all of no use anymore and have been replaced by opposites. Lover is replaced by .fear, joy by sorrow, peace by turmoil, patience by anxiety, gentleness by a mean spirit, goodness by a disregard for others’ needs, faith by doubt, meekness by pride and temperance by gluttony.. When you start to spread these things around, people disapprove. Your witness becomes boring and typical to them. They expect Christians to fail and be just like them.

Don’t allow your fruit to become moldy! Let the living water overflow from within you so that rivers are formed in the desserts of other people’s lives!

Isaiah 43:18-19
21st Century King James Version
18 “Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.
19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.

Yet He Does

I’ve had my disappointments. I’ve had my ups and downs
I often find that failure has followed me around
So many times I wonder why Jesus stays with me
Too many times I’ve struggled With why He still loves me
Yet He does

When I find I’ve faltered and traveled off the path
My heart will become restless. My faith just does not last
Doubt rises up within me and hope seems far away
I cannot find a reason for Jesus to remain
Yet He does

CHORUS
He loves me. In the midst of my mistakes
He loves me. And He showers me with grace
He loves me. From the dawn to setting sun
He my victory has won.
His loves always overcomes
He loves me

When I know He’s by my side I am thankful He is near
I know that I can call to Him and He will always hear
When difficulties rise His mercy comes around
He doesn’t have to save me from sinking tof o the ground
Yet He does

CHORUS

BRIDGE
When I need a healing, He does
When I need delivered, He does
When I need a counselor, He does
When I need a helper, He does

CHORUSGod’s love38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

I Have No Doubt

I have no doubt He loves me
Despite what I have done
He washes all my failures
Forgives them, every one

I have no doubt He’ll heal me
When sickness comes my way
If I should come up fragile
He’ll make me new each day

I have no doubt He saved me
He washed my sins away
He shed His blood in my place
And took away my shame

I have no doubt He’s with me
He’s walking by my side
When I need to be counselled
He hears my every cry

I have no doubt He hears me
When I kneel down to pray
His ear is inclined to me
Every single day

I have no doubt He’s coming
Real soon to take me home
Until then I’ll be faithful
My heart will never roam

There was a time that I was far away from God.  I was a wild child, full of mischief and always looking for the next party,  I had no desire to  serve God because I was having way to much fun.  I put my trust in the things of this earth and what I could see and hear and touch.  Those were my gods you might say.  Those were my comfort and my companions.  I didn’t think there was any purpose in serving God or even knowing Him.
I thought I had life all figured out.

Then He decided to let me know where I was headed.  He came to me suddenly and caught me in His loving arms.  I felt the warmth of His love and did not want to be without it.  I asked Him to forgive my wayward ways and to save me from that place that was never intended for me.  He did.  He did that and so much more.  Now I know who He is and who I am.  I am learning more each day about His love for me and what he did for me on that cross.  I know I will never leave Him and he will never leave me.  There is no doubt we have found each other.  And I am so glad.

Ephesians 2:8 King James Version (KJV)
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Jesus Life

Nothing At All

What could I do to have sins erased
Nothing, Lord. Nothing at all
What did I do to deserve your grace
Nothing, Lord. Nothing at all

What can I offer that will set me free
Nothing, Lord. Nothing at all
What will you charge to rescue me
Nothing, Lord. Nothing at all

I have been ransomed. I’ve been redeemed
All for no charge you have forgiven me
All that you ask is that I give my life
Just as you gave yours for me

What is the charge for the blessing you give
Nothing, Lord. Nothing at all
What is the rent when in heaven I live
Nothing, Lord. Nothing at all

Free, Lord. You set me free
All for no charge you have forgiven me
Nothing I bring you. Nothing I have
Is worth what you’ve given to me

I have been ransomed. I’ve been redeemed
All for no charge you have forgiven me
All that you ask is that I give my life
Just as you gave yours for me

He was taken by a legion of soldiers in the middle of the night. An illegal court hearing was held where He was beaten and spit upon. They sent Him to Pilate where He was lashed 40 times. He had a crown of thorns pout on His head and was mocked and beaten by the guards. .He was offered up to be set free, but the crowd cried “Crucify Him.” He carried His own cross until the weight was too much and they had someone help Him. The nailed Him to that cross and set it upright. While hanging there, in the midst of that torture, he cried out “Father forgive them, for they know not what they do” Then he gave up Hie life for my sins. For my failures. To heal my diseases. I did nothing to earn my salvation and I can do nothing to buy His grace. Nothing at all. His mercy on my life is what rescued me. He gave that to me, and so much more, that day he died on the cross. Then He rose victorious and he is with me every day to guide me, watch over me, heals me, provide for me. All because He loves me. Despite my wretchedness, He loved me so much That He died for me. I did nothing to deserve His love. Nothing at all.

Isaiah 53:5-6 King James Version (KJV)
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

The Believers Life

Unusual Love

It’s so unusual that I would ever worry
It’s so unusual that I would ever doubt
It’s so unusual that hope would die within me
I’m not sure I would find a way out

I cannot fathom not having faith in Jesus
I am not sure life would ever be the same
If He had not found me in the shadows
When He did the most unusual thing

He brought me to my knees
He brought my eyes to tears
As I cried out to Him
From way down deep within
He took my sins away
Gave new life that day
To a sinner such as I
Now I will testify

His love is unusual
His love is amazing
His love covers everything
My sin and my failures
I trusted my life to Him
Now He gives me everything
I will rest in His sweet arms
Unusual love

There are times I don’t understand it. Let’s face it! I was not the ideal candidate to become a witness for Jesus Christ. I was a drunk, drug addict, lived a perverted life and every sentence out of my mouth used His name as a curse. I had heard of this Jesus but just couldn’t figure out why he would love a derelict like me, nor did I care to know,. I was content with my miserable life, lonely and wandering with others who had the same afflictions as I. I figured life would go on just fine without some kind of religion flooding my mind. I had a good job, making and wasting pretty good money. I had a group of friends but in reality I was alone.

Then one day He led me (I know this now but did not know at the time) 1,500 miles to visit a friend. He led that friend to take me to a church service where I found out about this unusual love. I knew at the end that Jesus had died for my sins so that He could save me from a devil’s hell. I knew I did not want to go to that place. Later that week I gave my life to Him, my miserable life. His unusual love accepted me just the way I was. I knew I had been changed in that very instant. Life would never be the same because of His unusual love.

1 John 4:10 King James Version (KJV)
10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

Whisper

I heard a voice so softly whisper in my ear
I’m not sure who is speaking. My waking time is near
I roll myself back over and try to go to sleep
The voice returns once more and I ask the voice to speak

My child I want to tell you how much I love you so
How much I want to bless you. More than you could know
I wish to give you blessings to help your faith to grow
So you can spread the message of my love to all below

I rose up out of bed and I put on my shoes
I opened up the curtains. The sunlight filled the room
I went right to my easy chair and began to sing a tune
My spirit sought to praise Him, My worship filled the room

I am so glad you love me. I am so glad you do
I lift my hands in worship and send my love to you
All of my adoration. With every one of praise
I worship you sweet Jesus. I thank you for your grace

I love the story of Elijah. He bursts on the scene out of nowhere, walks into the King’s palace and announces it won’t rain for three years and then walks out. I’m not sure how he got in or how he got out. It was not easy to get to see the king in those days and when you announce something as drastic as a three year drought, I don’t see how the king did not hold him for a bit to find out who he was. Nevertheless, it took a lot of courage to do what Elijah did,

But Elijah did not always have courage. He also got discouraged. After defeating all the servants of Ball, he ran from Jezebel man actually wanted to die. God led him to the side of a mountain and as he was standing there he saw strong wind, an earthquake and fire, but God was not in any of them. He was in the still small voice that spoke to him and encouraged him to keep going.

If a mighty prophet like Elijah can get discouraged, so can we. But in those times, if we listen for that still, small voice we will hear it. God is always talking to us.

2 Chronicles 20:15 King James Version (KJV)
15 And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s.

I Can Trust In Your Love

In the Still of the Night
You are there by my side
And I know I can trust in your love

At the dawn of the day
You provide me a way
Then I know I can trust in your love

As the Sun rises high
You will strengthen my life
So I know I can trust in your love

When the sun paints the sky
And the day has gone by
I have known I can trust in your love

There’s never am hour
When I don’t need your power
For I know who I can trust in your love

Keep me close by your side
For in you I’ll abide
There I know I can trust your love

I know there are times that I don’t love Him like I should. After all, He gave up a throne in heaven to come to earth as a babe because He loved me. He walked all over the nation of Israel, healing and preaching about the ways of our Father in heaven because He loved me. He took the ridicule and harassment of the religious leaders because He loved me. He was beaten and laughed at, mocked and ridiculed. He carried His own cross on which He was crucified because He loved me. He took the nails in His hands and feet and He cried out Father forgive them because He loved me. He rose again and sent the Holy Spirit Comforter to help me because He loved me?

And what do I do? How much time do I spend with Him each day. Every day he reminds me of His love for me by appearing in the little things, in nature all around me, in the people I meet and talk to. Every moment He is giving me breath and sight, hearing and taste and so many other things I do not deserve. And he will always do that because He loves me.

Romans 8:32-39 King James Version (KJV)
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The Believers Life

Your Love For Me

No mountain too high. No valley too low
No ocean to wide or depth below
Can ever compare to your majesty
So I stand in awe of your love for me

No thunder too loud or lightning so bright
No sunset to bold or star in the night
Can ever compare to your glory Lord
So I stand in awe of your love for me

I stand in awe that you would come down
From heaven above from your lofty throne
To die in my place on a cross of shame
Be buried alone and then rise again

Oh what a wonderful love that you gave
To a sinner like me when you poured out your grace
Now I will worship and give you my praise
Because I stand in awe of your love for me

No matter how hard I try, I can’t understand why He loved me. He was seated on the throne in heaven. All the earth was His footstool because He created all things. He made the seas and the mountains, the stars and the birds. He made the lightning roar and the thunder clap. He put order to the universe and an atmosphere in this planet. He was above all. Then the Father said “It’s time,” and He left His throne and all of heaven behind and came as a baby in a manger. He grew up, taught us the love of the Father, healed all manner of illness, and yet was crucified. He was wounded for me, scourged for me, beaten for me. I was a wretched sinner, cursing God with every breath, yet He loved me. He made me new just as He made all of creation new. I am no longer the same but I have been bought with a price – the price of His blood. What a great love He has for me.

Romans 8:38-39 King James Version (KJV)
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
