No Matter What

I will praise you
No matter what
The storm may come
Lightning may flash
Thunder may roll
Flooding rains may sweep in
These may depict
A trial in my life
Where all seems lost
Where life seems bad
Yet I will praise you

I will praise you
No matter what
Illness may come
To weaken me
A deadly cancer
Chemotherapy
Neuropathy affects every move
Fatigue is always present
In the midst of it all
At the lowest of times
I will praise you

I will praise you
No matter what
When finances falter
Bills can’t get paid
There seems no relief
Worry sets in
Doubts of your provision
Wonder if we will make it through
Will the creditors sue
Will it only get worse
In the midst of it all
Yet I will praise you

You Oh God are my source and strength
My stronghold in the midst of the storm
My healer when sickness comes
My provider when I see no way out
My strong and mighty tower
My deliverer and counselor
You are always there
By my side
So no matter what
I will praise you

Treasures in Heaven

I used to seek fame and fortune
My friends were what mattered to me
I’d laugh and I’d smile
I was high all the while
In their favor I wanted to be

Now my life values are different
Pleasing God is what matters to me
The one that I seek
Is truly unique
Just like Christ know want to be

This world has some treasures of dust
Their future is dim and bleak
What I will lay up
Will not corrupt
It is treasures in heaven for me

For all you’ve done for me

Your wondrous love for me
I will testify of my Lord Jesus Christ
Who died for me

Thank you Lord for saving me
I praise you for the victory
I’ll shout and sing of all you’ve done
So others know of your great love

I can’t remember when I felt so special
As the day that I asked Jesus in my heart
I felt His love come in
As He wiped away my sin
And now I know I never will depart

You see I never thought that I was someone
Who had a very unique call to live
But He showed me the way
As He guided me each day
To the calling He had meant for me to fill

Perhaps you have never felt important

When I can’t sense your presence you’re still there
When I’m not sure you’re list’ning you hear my prayer
If the clouds fill the sky
Or the stars are shining bright
I know that you’re still there

When I can’t hear your voice you still speak
When I feel alone my heart you seek
If I hear the birds sing
Or this wind on the wing
I know that you’re talking to me

When I can’t feel your touch you are near
When I’m lost and in despair I’ll not fear
With the sunrise at morn
And the new day is born
I can know that my prayers you will hear

When I don’t understand you still know
When I can’t see your plan your love shows
Day by day you give grace
As I lift up my praise
Then my path is like prints in the snow

You’ll never leave me
Never forsake me
Never let me go
I can take rest
And know that I’m blessed
Because your love will always show

More Than Able

Oh Lord, My God
I worship you because you are more than able
When my finances run dry,
My cupboards are bear,
And the bills are due
You are more than able to provide
In some way things will get taken care of
You will send someone
Or simply have someone mail a check
Or wire help to me
Because you love me
And I have followed your way

When I am sick
My body in pain
No energy to do daily tasks
You are more than able to heal me
Give me strength again
Take away all the pain
Whether through doctors or a miracle
I know it’s your hand that heals me
Because you love me
And I have followed your way

When the enemy comes in
And torments my mind
Luring me away from your word
Away from your way
Enticing me with his words of pleasure
And earthly treasures
You are more than able to deliver me
Keep me safe
Guide me back to your path
So I will again hear your voice
And run from the enemy
Because you love me
And I have followed your way

When I am alone
My friends have turned their backs on me
They speak evil of me
They only want me out of their lives
Not from anything I have done
Except kept your word
And shared your love
You are more than able
To comfort me
And walk with me through the hard times
You protect me from slander
And bring me close to your side
Because you love me
And I have followed your way

When I have sinned
And done what was not right in your eyes
I feel overwhelmed with grief
Because it hurts you
When I stray from the truth
I feel distant from you
I fall on my knees
Repent
And ask you to forgive me
You are more than able
And more than willing
To forgive me
To wash me white as snow
To remove my sin
As far as the East is from the West
Because you love me
And I have followed your way

Oh Lord My God
I worship you because you are more than able
In every storm
In every trial
In every sickness
In every heartache
In every need
In every mess up I may have
You are there
You are more than able to bring me back
To your side

Rue the Day

This world does not respect the truth
It often can’t define it
So when we bring Good News to them
We innovate to share it

We make sure that they understand
That this one truth will save
And if they balk and go their way
In time they’ll rue the day

I urge you to pick up God’s Word
And read the stories over
If you will open up your heart
My God will show His glory

Outshine

He placed the stars in heaven
He called them all by name
He formed them as we see them
They’ll always be the same

Just to make us wonder
He takes one at a time
He makes a supernova
That really does outshine

I have to be real careful
That my light shines just right
I cannot let pride get me
To cause it to shine bright

But if my Lord is leading
And my line should flash high
I must be humbly thankful
And leave Him to decide

It’s not my place to self-promote
Or make myself stand out
I’ll give my God the glory
Whenever my light shouts
