It’s time to praise Him
To Lift our hands up high
Let your voice be heard
Through all the earth

Its time to worship
Our hearts turned to the sky
His glory raised on high
For all to see

For He saved us by His love
He healed us with His blood
He freed us from the sin that ruled our lives
Delivered us from hell
His story we must tell
The world must know of His great sacrifice

It’s time to glorify
The one who gave His life
Our Savior Jesus Christ
Let’s shout and sing

It’s time to honor Him
The Lamb of God was slain
Our victory He gained
We owe Him everything

For He saved us by His love

Heed His Words

Sitting at the feet of Jesus
Just to hear His words
Stories that teach me his ways
So I can serve my Lord

Talents that were given freely to three servant men
Those that used them wisely were blessed in the end
God gives us all some talents that we have never earned
It’s up to us to use them for His glory in return

Seeds were widely scattered and some did not produce
But soil that was ready brought harvest of good fruit
We must plant the gospel seed wherever we may go
Some plant some water and some harvest not for us to know

A boy took future finance he squandered it away
When he returned repenting his father praised the day
No matter how far I may wander from my Lord today
He is there to take me back when I repent and pray

A debtor is forgiven a large debt by the king
When he did not forgive another he lost everything
The debt of sin was forgiven on the cross that day
I must forgive all who hurt me all along the way

A farmer finds a precious pearl in the field one day
He sells all that he has to buy that field right away
God’s precious word Is a pearl of wisdom and of life
I must be willing to give all to gain this glorious light

He tells me I’m the light of the world and not to let it hide
He tells me I’m the salt of the earth and not too let it die
I must let His light sine through me so other see it’s ways
I must preserve and season life for others who have strayed

Every story that He told
Has meaning for my life
I pray we all can heed His words
And share His great insight

I cannot avoid the trials in life

I cannot avoid the fight

But I can rely

He’ll be by my side

Whenever the testing begins 
I cannot avoid some sorrow 

I cannot avoid some pain

But I know His plan

He will hold my hand

His joy will return again
Always there for me

Keeping me

Making things right

Knowing He loves me

He’ll see me through

I cannot avoid some people

I cannot avoid their doubt

I can build them up

With kind words of love 

I can help them figure life out
Perhaps they were brought to me

By His great plan

Perhaps I was put here for them

I must take the time

I must help them find 

The God who can bring them through
Always there for me

Right by my side

Keeping me

Making things right

Knowing He loves me

He’ll see me through 

He’ll turn every test for my good

I see cherubim and seraphim

As they dance in sheer delight.

The elders bow before the Lamb

As he comes full in their sight.

The sound of anthems fills the skies

And the clouds bear majesty

As we sing around His throne

Angels gather ’round the throne of God

Their praises fill the heavens,

I approach the throne room and bow down

At the sight of Holy splendor.

And hallelujahs sing,

I can’t help but join the chorus with my praise

The Day After Christmas

The day has quickly past
The gifts are all unwrapped
The wrappings have been swiftly thrown away
The Christmas feast is done
Guests have all gone home
Now you rest from such a busy day

Your mind goes drifting back
To the year that has just past
You write down all the wonderful events
Then you start to plan
For the year that is at hand
Hoping to achieve the very best

You start to make a list
Of thinks that you would wish
Would come true in the coming year
Perhaps this year would be
A good year to agree
A closer walk with God would be so dear

Take more time to pray
Read the word each day
Listen for the sound of His sweet voice
Help those who have needs
Be a friend indeed
Always strive to make the righteous choice

Tell God all your fears
Let Him dry your tears
He will fill your heart with His sweet peace
Bring your needs to Him
And you will always win
All your doubts and worry He’ll release

With these resolutions
We know that the conclusion
Will open up a year that’s full of life
So please take time to pray
That you would find a way
To have a closer walk with Jesus Christ

The day before
We celebrate
The newborn Lord

I hope all’s well
With you today
Have you asked Him
Your life to save

When Jesus came
That fateful night
That baby boy
Brought with Him light

A light that shines
In all our hearts
To bring the life
His love imparts

A life that’s filled
With heavens peace
Enduring hope
Joys never cease

His promise came
When He was born
Salvation brought
That Christmas morn

My prayer this day
For all of you
Is season filled
With life that’s full

That you will find
Salvation’s way
On this December
Christmas Day

Chosen Star

I look up at the stars
And I see the Master’s plan
He placed them one by one
Before our time began

All down through the ages
Those stars have shown their light
Always in formation
To guide us in the night

Then one night, a change was seen
One star was singled out
To shine much brighter than the rest
A loud celestial shout

On brightest star, Oh chosen star
You shine your glorious light
To lead us all to Christ the King
On this most Holy night

This star then found its special place
To shine those brighter rays
It took its place above a town
Where God’s own Son was laid

Three kings had seen the star so bright
From lands so far away
They came to bring gifts to the child
In a manger filled with hay

Gold, because He’s royalty
As priest, the Frankincense
Myrrh, anointing for His death
Which would be so intense

On brightest star, Oh chosen star
You shine your glorious light
To lead us all to Christ the King
On this most Holy night
