Call on Jesus

When you wake up in the morning brew your coffee
Have a muffin, or banana or some toast
Make sure all the house around you is in order
Take a shower, brush your teeth and out the door

Wait a minute, somethings missing in that sequence
Something all of us should do to start our day
There is nothing more important than this one small thing
Take some time down on your knees to pray

Pray for children, pray for neighbors, pray for grandma
Pray for friends that live both near and far away
Pray for pastor and for mayor and for workers
Pray for everything you'll do throughout the day

You see the secret to success is not your bankroll
Not your wisdom, or your power or your fame
It’s not a matter of the place you have climbed to
Your success comes from the times you called His name

The name of Jesus is the key to all your future
The name of Jesus is your peace in every storm
The name of Jesus is a joy you can hold onto
He’s a refuge and a strong and mighty tower

So, when you find that you are rushed and running ragged
And it seems you don't have time to even think
Take a break down on your knees to call on Jesus
And you'll find you have more time to follow Him

He's the way. The truth, the life and He's your answer
To the question of a day that seems too short
Just a little time with Jesus in the morning
Will make the whole day better from the start

No Weapon

I will keep on smiling in the midst of my troubles
I will keep on dancing in the midst of my storms
No weapon formed against me will prosper
I will count my blessings when it seems all goes wrong

There are days when it seems nothing goes right
Bills and worries pile up all around
It seems the enemy is gaining ground in my spirit
I hear his voice, or I don’t hear a sound

My prayer life fails me and my doubts seem to take hold
I cannot find that sweet peace I once knew
Out of the silence I can hear Jesus calling
My child, I am right here with you

I will keep on smiling in the midst of my troubles
I will keep on dancing in the midst of my storms
No weapon formed against me will prosper
I will count my blessings when it seems all goes wrong

The enemy comes and he tries to bring bondage
He comes and he tries to cause harm
But my God will turn all for His glory
He’ll give joy in His sheltering arms

He brings weakness, but God brings strength
He brings worry, but my God brings faith
He brings sickness, but my God brings health back
He brings heartache, but my God repels his attack
God brings power. God brings glory., God brings victory every time
God brings honor. God brings freedom. God brings hope and eternal life

I will keep on smiling in the midst of my troubles
I will keep on dancing in the midst of my storms
No weapon formed against me will prosper
I will count my blessings when it seems all goes wrong

All of My Worship Belongs to You

https://youtu.be/cAmVsH4bPRc

Jesus Christ, the risen one
King of Kings and Lord of Lord's is He
The Lamb of God upon the Throne
He shall reign throughout eternity

Blessing and honor, glory and power
All of my worship belongs to you
None is more righteous, none is more holy
All of my worship belongs to you

Forever and a Day

Now I rise up from my bed
Thoughts of Jesus in my head
Lord, please walk with my today
Lead me in the narrow way

As the sun begins to rise
Dawn brings awesome golden skies
I can't help but sing His praise
As I look at clouds ablaze.

Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, my soul
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord my soul
With all my heart, with all my mind
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, praise the Lord

Now the day is drawing nigh
Beauty fills the western sky
God has made His presence known
In the beauty He has shown

CHORUS

He is holy. He us righteous. He is wonderful
He is worthy. He is mighty. He is glorious.
I will praise His name forever. Forever and a day
He is Jesus, King of Kings and Lord of Lord's

Now I lay my head to sleep
Pray the Lord my soul to keep.
If I should die before I wake
Pray the Lord my soul to take.

No One Else

No one cares for me like you
No one loves me like you do
No one else can see me through the storms and trials in my life
No one else but you

No one else can give me peace
No one else brings victory
No one else has paid the price to ransom me from my sin
No one else but you

I will praise no one else but you
I will honor no one else but you
I will worship no one else but you
Jesus

I will lift my hands to no one else
I will give my heart to no one else
I will give myself to no one else
No one else but you

Jesus Calls to You

At any time, in any season
For any cause, for any reason
You’ll hear His voice if you will listen
Jesus calls to you

When you’ re up or when you’re weary
When you’re sad or when your cheery
When your glad or when you’re dreary
Jesus calls to you

In summer, winter, fall and spring
His voice will tell you many things
And only blessing it will bring
Jesus calls to you

It’s not a voice that’s loud and low
But when you hear it you will know
That you have purpose here below
Jesus calls to you

Please open up your ears today
During work or during play
He will guide you in His way
Jesus calls to you

The Words of My Praise

It’s hard for me to put into words what Jesus means to me
Everything that I write seems too small to declare His majesty
I come to Him each morning and I get down on my knees
Seeking to hear what He would say to me

Then one by one He gives me the lines and tells me to write them down
I really don’t know what the next words will be or how the rhyme will sound
I just start to type and it seems that He guides my fingers as words abound
Early in the morning when no one is around

These are His words, these are His story
This is my journal of what the Lord says
Giving Him honor, giving Him glory
These are the words of my praise

When it is finished and the poem is done, I hear Him say thank you to me
I say “Dear Lord, this is not my work. I don’t deserve credit for these”
He says, “My son, please know how much I appreciate that you listen to me.
For I talk to many who don’t have an ear to hear.”

So, I slowly put down my fingers and I say a little prayer
For all of you who He’s speaking to but really don’t open your ears
It’s time for the children of God to arise and show themselves strong in these years
Make Him the Lord of your life and share what you hear

These are His words, these are His story
This is my journal of what the Lord says
Giving Him honor, giving Him glory
These are the words of my praise

The Giver of Life

He gives hope to the hopeless
Peace to the restless
Faith for the faithless
Love to the worthless

He gives light in the darkness
Strength for my weakness
Joy for my sadness
Health for my sickness

He’s the giver of life to all who are lost
He paid my price as He hung on the cross
The shame and the pain He bore for me
Taking my sin and setting me free

Oh, what a wonderful Savior
Oh, what mercy divine
Oh, what grace so amazing
Jesus is mine, Jesus is mine
Jesus is mine. Jesus is mine

So, I will lift up my hands and praise Him
Praise Him, praise Him
I will lift up my heart and worship
Worship Christ the King

One Wish

If I had one wish to wish, what would it be
In this world that’s full of so much misery
What could I say
That would turn night to day
What wish would bring light to the streets

I could wish for joy that would fill every soul
I could wish for peace that would calm every storm
But is either enough
To bring hope to us
When our spirits are troubled and torn

I think I would wish that Jesus
Would calm every weary soul
I think I would wish that Jesus
Would make every spirit whole
I think I would wish that Jesus
Would take every sin away
That He’d turn my night into day
Then I realize He already did. He already did.

After all this consideration
I can think of one wish for all nations
That He’d open their eyes
They’d look up to the skies
Lifting praise in great adoration

Jesus is our wish come true
He died on the cross for you
Then He rose to give eternal life
Ask Him now to come live inside

Then this wish for joy would come true
This wish for peace would find you
This wish would bring light and truth
This wish would rescue you

He’s not a wish, He is yours
Open your heart to the Lord
Let His spirit be your reward
Ask Jesus to rescue your soul

First Blood

He was in agony
In the garden of Gethsemane
Bowing His head, down on His knees
The first blood He shed was in prayer
The perfect sacrifice
Not a blemish or a scar
Ready to pay the ultimate price
The first blood He shed was in prayer
They beat Him and mocked Him
Spit in His face
In a trial that broke all their laws
They whipped Him and scourged Him
And crowned Him with thorns
Blood unceasingly dripped to the ground
The made Him carry His cross up a hill
Where beggars and thieves came to die
The drove nails
Through His hands and feet
As they hung Him on that cross
The agony there was when sin entered in
The Father had left Him alone
He never had felt the pain of sin
As His blood quickly seeped in the ground
He had never hurt anyone, never said wrong
Yet He died the most ungodly way
Yet with all of the blond that he shed that day
The first blood He shed was in prayer
Let us never forget the price that He paid
And the blood that was shed that day
But ponder on the significance
That the first blood He shed was in prayer
