Overflowing Grace

He lived for me
Taught me His mercy
Healed the sick and mended lives
His perfect love
Showed it was enough
To defeat the devil’s wiles

When my faith is low
To His word I go
Living water He supplies
He will build me up
Fill my open cup
Overflowing grace us mine

He died for me
Crucified for me
Gave His life to set me free
Suffered through the shame
Agonized with pain
Then He hung upon that tree

He bowed His head
Quietly He said
Forgive them for what they’ve done
Passing down through time
His forgiveness mine
Laid Him in a borrowed tomb

He rose for me
Life eternally
Is now mine He paid the price
I will now abide
By His loving side
All through time His love is mine

How marvelous
How wonderful
Is my Saviors lovely name
I’ll forever raise
Up my voice in praise
His great mercy I’ll proclaim

I Need You, Lord

I need you, Lord

In the morning
When I awake
Before the sun comes up
I need you

You give me air to breath
You give the light for sight
You give the sounds of spring
As bird’s sing
I need you, Lord

I need you, Lord

I the midst of the day
When the world is all around
Trouble presents itself
Temptation lurks in corners
I need you

You light my path with your word
You remind me of your great love
You keep me safe in the storm
In your arms
I need you, Lord

I need you, Lord

At the end of the day
When sleep is knocking
My tired body needs rest
From all the day’s events
I need you

You calm my soul so I can sleep
You reassure me of your grace
You lay me down with your peace
And mercy
I need you, Lord

Not a moment goes by
A second or minute
That I do not need you, Lord
What a wonderful thing
To know you are near
Whenever I need you, Lord

Make The Right Call

He beckons me out of my slumber
He speaks in His soft, gentle voice
Write the words that are settled within you
Let the world know that they have a choice

I thought for a minute about this
Then I picked up my paper and pen
I knew what the message would be like
I knew there’s a choice in the end

He tells us in plain, simple language
That it’s heaven or hell for us all
Each of us has a decision
I hope that you make the right call

You can follow your own path as always
Ignoring the warnings of God
Refusing to know His sweet mercy
And the price His Son paid at the cross

We are all born with sin in our system
That seed was placed long ago
And sin will not make it to heaven
It can only be covered by blood

God sent His Son to redeem us
From the curse of sin we all acquired
Accepted His blood as our ransom
Is the remedy that God required

So today you have a decision
If Jesus is not in your heart
You can ask Him in and gain heaven
Orr from God you’ll forever depart

I put down my pen and I pondered
These words that he spoke to my heart
Then I once more asked Him to forgive me
For the times I had not done my part

He longs for us all to come to Him
Free from sin by the work of His Son
So accept Him today
And you’ll find the way
To make heaven your eternal home

Every Single Time

When I am down and feeling blue
I lift my eyes and look to you
Because I know you’ll see me through
Every single time

When I am sick or feeling pain
I look to you, Lord, yet again
Because I know your healing came
Every single time

Your mercy is remarkable
Your grace is ever free
I never will quite understand
The love you have for me

When I’m alone and feeling down
I look to you before I drown
Then you bring me to higher ground
Every single time

No eye can see
No tongue can tell
The greatness of your love
No one can start
To count the times
You’ve touched them from above

Your mercy is remarkable
Your grace is ever free
I never will quite understand
The love you have for me

Running To You

I’m running to you Lord, running to you
This world doesn’t offer the peace that you do
When I am in trouble you always come through
That’s why I’m running to you

I’m waiting on you Lord, waiting on you
Your timing is perfect.  You know what to do
My faith in your goodness will carry me through
That’s why I’m waiting on you

I can depend on your mercy
I can depend on your grace
I can depend that you’ll always do good
So I lift up my heart in praise

I’m hoping in you, Lord, hoping in you
When it comes to my future you know what I’ll do
No matter the storm you’ll carry me through
That’s why I‘m hoping in you

And when the storm clouds gather
And it seems there’s no way out
I’ll lift my hands to worship
I’ll lift my voice and shout
I know that you are with me
Through every trial and test
That’s why I’ll bring my praises
You deserve my best

I can depend on your mercy
I can depend on your grace
I can depend that you’ll always do good
So I lift up my heart in praise

Let’s Go See

Let’s go see the Savior
He’s waiting just for you
He’s longing to embrace you
In His living arms

Let’s go see the Savior
He’s really close at hand
He wants to bless you daily
With His endless grace

Let’s go see His mercy
Working in our lives
Pulling us from trouble
Every single day

He’s so close
So very close
Waiting for your prayer
He is ready
He’s so ready
To send the answer soon

Let’s go feel His love
Boundless and complete
Loving everybody
He desires your heart

Let’s go give our lives
To the Saviors call
Hope is there awaiting
Peace and joy abound

He’s so close
So very close
Waiting just for you
Won’t you go
And see Him now
His arms are open wide

He’s so close
So very close
Give Him your heart today
Make your life
Complete in Him
He’s waiting just for you

You Will See Mercy

I cried unto the Lord
Lord hear my cry
I’m trying so hard
But there’s sin in my life
Oh Lord I desire
To please you th1s day
Why won’t these thorns be removed
I wept before the Lord
Lord see my tears
I’ve been struggling with troubles
For too many years
Oh Lord my desire
Is to walk in your ways
Why won’t these troubles subside
He said Mercy
I give you my mercy
All of your sin
and troubles too
Are under the blood
Mercy
All of my mercy
Just keep your eyes
Focused on me
And you will see mercy
I looked up at the Lord
Lord I need you
I need to look at your word
And not what I do
Oh Lord my hearts cry
Is To only see you
Then all these thorns
And all my troubles
Will fade away
As long as my eyes
Are looking at what’s inside
These troubles will not ever die
But when I make my eyes
Look at my Lord on High
He will be the focus of my life
He said Mercy
I give you my mercy
All of your sin and troubles too
Are under the blood
Mercy
All of my mercy
Just keep your eyes
Focused on me
And you will see mercy

Don’t Wiggle!

First, I start to giggle
Then there is wiggle
As I see this word today to prompt us all
My belly starts to jiggle
As I start that silly giggle
Like a bowl of jello ready to devour

But as I give it thought
I realize it’s not
Such a funny word to laugh about
There’s one place I can’t jiggle
Or give a little wiggle
In the word of God I must be stout

You see there is no doubt
What Jesus was about
Love and mercy were His stock in trade
If we’re to follow Him
Then love for all must win
Our wiggling and jiggling must fade

In response to the daily prompt Jiggle

Great And Wondrous Love

How can God begin to know a little worm like me
How can God begin to hear the prayers that I speak
How can God begin to plan the future that I seek
When all the universe is Hs domain

How can God begin to bring the healing that I need
How can God begin to cause deliverance in me
How can God begin to send His Spirit to guide me
When all creation cries to Him each day

The answer to these questions
Is found inside His word
It’s really very simple
But to logic it’s absurd
That the God of all creation
Would care about just one
And hear his every cry
Because of His great love

Yes, it’s His love
His great and wondrous love
That brings Him to do all these things for us
It’s His love
His great and wondrous love
That brought Him down to earth and to a cross

It’s so hard to understand it
But by faith we take His hand
As He carries us through trials
And He shows us His great plan

I’m in awe of His great mercy
I’m so glad for His great grace
I will trust in Him forever
And one day I’ll see Hs face

Yes, it’s His love
His great and wondrous love
That brings Him to do all these things for us
It’s His love
His great and wondrous love
That brought Him down to earth and to a cross
