Peace Sweeps Over Me

He’s the anchor for my soul
When the storms of doubt arise
He comes in and clears the skies
And my heart He floods with joy

He becomes my breath and wind
When the sea is churning deep
Calms the sky and stills the sea
I soar above on eagle’s wings

Everything I need to survive
All that I could ever need
He supplies abundantly
Until His peace sweeps over me

He is guiding me across

Through the endless night I wake
Hoping to get back to sleep
Yet in these tired hours I know
That I can trust my soul He keeps

And when I finally rise from bed
My feet are planted on the floor
The first thing that my mind recalls
He once again has kept my soul

In my life Jesus Christ is Lord
He’s everything to me and even more
He took away my sin
I owe my life to Him
Because the depth I came from I abhorred

I’m also confident of this one thing
No matter what my future life will bring
He is my confidant
My past is dead and gone
And He will never bring up anything

What mercy He gives me from day to day
That worry of my past is washed away
I’ll lift His lovely name
With songs of highest praise
I’ll follow in His plan all the way

In our United States we have a grand and glorious time
Electing those who make our laws and hope they will do fine
It seems that popularity chooses who it will be
And that is not always the best when it comes to you and me

There once was quite a teacher who seemed to change the rules
He came against the leaders as He tried to show them truth
But they rejected Him and hung Him high upon a tree
There He took the sins of His constituency

Bet three days later He arose the hope for all mankind
If we will give our life to Him His peace and joy we’ll find
I hope that you will pray today and make Him Lord of all
For then He will show you the truth and fill you with His call

All by His mercy

Creator

Forgiver
My Savior
His grace daily covers me
And when I lie down
In my bed at night
His Spirit will watch over me

So I will praise Him

For all that He is
And all that He’s done

In awe and in wonder
Majestic is He

Worthy is He
The Sovereign one

We will discover

In the midst of your troubles when life seems so hard
You try to find rest but don’t get very far
Life just seems so messed up wherever you are
That’s when Jesus calls

In the midst of the pain and illness you face
All of your body seems out of place
One thing or another makes your health a waste
That’s when Jesus calls

He calls us to show mercy
He calls us to show grace
He calls us to take heed and look above
When you are at the bottom
Be still and hear His voice
He’s calling you testify
He’s calling you to lift Him high
He’s calling you to tell of His great love

When it seems that we’re in the worst battles of life
And wherever we turn it just adds to our strife
That’s when we have to give praise we’re alive
For that’s when Jesus calls
