As Christmas cheer
Rings in my ear
I love the carol songs
They speak of Christ
This special night
And last the evening long
I see the lights
They shine so bright
As they adorn the streets
Remind me of
The star above
That wise men came to seek
All people greet
Wish words so sweet
The season of true joy
These words of love
Make me thing of
The blessed baby boy
You see everything about Christmas
Reminds me of His love
And he precious gift He brought
When He came down from above
The gift was my salvation
From all my sin and shame
Since I accepted this great gift
I’ve never been the same
His joy is overwhelming
His peace is so much more
His hope keeps me from worry
And His love fills every pore
This gift is yours this Christmas Day
If you will ask Him in
He will come into your heart
And wipe away your sin
The night gets slowly darker as crowds fill up the streets
Several inns are filling up with people needing sleep
Among them is a young lass who soon expects a child
She's tired and in pain after traveling for a while
Her husband goes from door to door, looking for a place
But every single time a look of sadness fills his face
There's no place to hang his hat and nowhere to lay his head
But even more important is his wife who needs a bed
A lady hears their troubles and offers her advice
Perhaps a little stable could be shelter for the night
She leads them far away from the bustle of the crowd
And piles up some straw for a bed upon the ground
The man and his lady settle in for the night
The baby's coming fast as she labors out of sight
And soon a cry is heard that Is barely heard at all
The Son of God is born this day, Savior of us all
An angel then appears to some shepherds in the field
“Peace” the angel echoed as the shepherds bowed in fear
Today is born a Savior, go and see what God has done
Then the shepherds left their flocks and set out on a run
They came upon the stable that the angel had foretold
And there they saw the baby that had come to save the world
Rejoicing in this truth, they went out to tell the world
A baby has been born this day, the Savior of the world
We’re never told if folks received the message they proclaimed
We’re never told if folks believed and called upon His name
The only thing we know is that they did what they were told
I have no doubt they want about with words that were quite bold
I need that kind of passion to proclaim Messiah’s birth
In a world where Christmas is a time of merriment and mirth
So many people celebrate, and so few really know
The truth of why He came and the Love that He has shown
This Christmas let us share His story everywhere we go
Don’t miss an opportunity to let His love be known
For if this season passes by and we’ve not said a word
Wee may not have another chance to lead them to the Lord
She came into Bethlehem Meek and mild Heavy with child Riding a donkey for many miles Worn and weary from a long journey Seeking room to give birth There was none but a stable A lowly manger filled with hay Would be the child’s resting place Just one stranger in the city Teaming with visitors No one knew her No one cared No one knew whom she carried in her womb Yet at his birth Shepherds from the field came to greet him They were told by angels to come Come meet the King Come meet the Savior He brings peace on earth Good will to man They came And they bowed And they worshipped the King Then they left and told all And few understood what they said Mary knew who He was Joseph knew who He was But the world did not know who just arrived In such humility In such a place as this He comes into the gate Lazarus awaits Freshly risen form the dead Bartimaeus awaits His eyes wide open The crowd awaits To praise the coming King Riding on a donkey Meek and mild Heavy with His fate and what awaits Him Not the crowd Not the praise But the cross He sees coming for Him He arrives to Hosannah Blessed be the one who comes in the name of the Lord He arrives to praise Palm branches waving People shouting and singing He arrives to death Calvary looms large in the distance He knows He will be beaten He knows He will wear a crown of thorns He knows He will be condemned to die He knows He will be nailed to a cross Crucified Yet He still comes In great humility To fulfill His destiny And all prophesy To all who think they know who He is But have no idea what will become of Him The pain The agony The suffering The loneliness of the cross All for us All for me All for you Will you welcome the King? Will you lift your palms to worship? Will you welcome Him today? Give Him all your praise? Give your life today? He gave His for you Now it’s your turn Your time Your destiny Let Him in Welcome Him with open arms He comes to die Yet He comes to save He comes to suffer Yet He comes to heal He comes to forgive Yet He takes all your sin Take His love today He gives it for you
The day has quickly past The gifts are all unwrapped The wrappings have been swiftly thrown away The Christmas feast is done Guests have all gone home Now you rest from such a busy day Your mind goes drifting back To the year that has just past You write down all the wonderful events Then you start to plan For the year that is at hand Hoping to achieve the very best You start to make a list Of thinks that you would wish Would come true in the coming year Perhaps this year would be A good year to agree A closer walk with God would be so dear Take more time to pray Read the word each day Listen for the sound of His sweet voice Help those who have needs Be a friend indeed Always strive to make the righteous choice Tell God all your fears Let Him dry your tears He will fill your heart with His sweet peace Bring your needs to Him And you will always win All your doubts and worry He’ll release With these resolutions We know that the conclusion Will open up a year that’s full of life So please take time to pray That you would find a way To have a closer walk with Jesus Christ
The day is finally here A day of mirth and good cheer We’ve waited this long And sung all the songs That deck the halls this year The Christmas tree shines so bright And the houses are covered with lights The presents are many The foods getting ready And soon we’ll all wake from the night The children flock to the tree And open their presents with glee Paper flies everywhere Parents laugh without a care They just hope the children are pleased Once all the presents are open It’s time for the feast to begin We sit at the table And all who are able Take turns as we start to dig in Then a gentle hand says wait Let’s take a minute to pray So they all bow their heads As these words are said To give God the thanks for this day Oh, the joy of Christmas Glad tidings we all sing Blessed Hallelujahs To the King of Kings Glory in the highest Emmanuel is here Let’s not forget the reason For this special time of year Because God sent His son In a manger bed He lay Such a simple start Yet we celebrate this day Because that little babe Gave His life our debt to pay And now we’re born again If we follow in His way There’s a hush that fills the room As a little child says I want to follow Him Will you show me the way? And right there at the table Before the meal begins We pray the sinner’s prayer And that child has entered in Oh, the joy of Christmas Glad tidings we all sing Blessed Hallelujahs To the King of Kings Glory in the highest Emmanuel is here Let’s not forget the reason For this special time of year
Welcomed as a baby In a manger He lay Shepherds came to greet Him Kings from far away People came to see Him As He taught them truth Everyone that came to Him Found love that He imbued Day turned into darkness He crowds all turned away Soldiers came to take Him No one with Him would stay Beaten, bruised and scarred A crown of thorns He wore Nailed upon a cross His garments they all tore As He hung there bleeding Breath barely possible He cried out to is the Father Please forgive them all Then He died for all mankind His blood shed on that cross Redemption freely given His grace for all of us In three days, He arose Escaped a sealed-up tomb He now abides in Heaven The Lamb upon the throne This grace that He extended He day he came to earth Was finally fulfilled On the cross and with His death Accept His gift of love today And know His peace within He only way to heaven Is forgiveness for your sins For this peace the angels sang of To shepherds in the field Is only yours if you decide Your life to Him to yield He stands there knocking at the door Please open up your heart The baby born this Christmas morn Will give you a new start New life is for the taking The best gift ever given A baby born to die for you The only way to heaven
Wouldn’t it have been amazing To be there on that morn When shepherds came to greet Him The Savior that was born Wouldn’t it have been amazing To see the newborn babe As wise men knelt before Him Sleeping on the hay Wonder of wonders God’s only Son Came down from heaven that day We stand before Him Lord of all time We gratefully praise His name Emmanuel, Emmanuel God has come down to save King of all Kings Lord of all Lords Came to us as a babe Isn’t it truly amazing That God loved us all so much He gave His own Son to redeem us His blood reaches each one of us Isn’t it truly amazing That on this blessed Christmas day We can sing of our precious redeemer With hearts full of grateful praise Wonder of wonders God’s only Son Came down from heaven that day We stand before Him Lord of all time We gratefully praise His name Emmanuel, Emmanuel God has come down to save King of all Kings Lord of all Lords Came to us as a babe
Quiet night. Stars shine bright Giving light to all below Shepherds watching. Sheep all grazing All not knowing what’s in store Suddenly, from the heavens Angel saying fear thou not Unto you today is born A Savior, Christ the Lord Then angelic host starts singing Glory to God in highest heaven Still proclaiming peace on earth Goodwill to man. Go see the child They went to see Him in the manger Quiet babe among these strangers Knelt to worship, Saw no danger Praising Christ, the Lord Glory to God, The Angels sang Great is the Lord our God Peace on earth, good will to all Is the Angels song above When we bow down to Christ the Lord’ For the first time the Angel chorus Sings out a song in joyful glee That one more has entered heaven Will that be you this Christmas day? Will you ask Christ to be your way? Will you invite Him in to stay? Accept His gift today And then angels will sing again Glory to God, The Angels sang Great is the Lord our God Peace on earth, good will to all Is the Angels song above
The first time He came as a babe In a lowly manger He lay The announcement came to shepherds on the field He had left His throne in glory To write a good news story Of a Savior who would make the devil yield The next time He’ll come in the clouds The trumpet to all will resound Those who put their trust in Him will meet in the air Many will be left behind In a world of chaos and crime I am so glad I have put my life in His hand Glorious King, Lord Jesus Savior, deliverer friend Glorious King, Lord Jesus Victorious in the end Victory over all my sin Victory over pain within Glorious King. Glorious King, Lord Jesus The third time He’ll come in power He will ride and the saints will follow The sword of the Word will be wielded and ready for battle All His enemies will be defeated His redemption will then be completed For a thousand years we will reign with Him in the heavens Oh, what a day.
