Peace
In the midst of the storm
He can still the waves
Make the winds a calm
For my weary soul

Peace
I can’t understand
Comes when worry ends
Keeps my heart and mind
In Jesus Christ my Lord

This peace He gives the world can’t know
And they won’t understand
As we go through the battles
With His strength
He said He left His peace with us
Before He left this earth
Let not your heart be troubled
Or afraid

Peace
In the valleys low
When it seems as though
Life has dealt a blow
To our troubled soul

Peace
Grows up in our lives
Fruit that testifies
Of His sacrifice
And our Fathers love

This peace He gives is matchless
This world has not a clue
Of what the Lord has left for us
A peace that’s always new

This peace He gives the world can’t know
And they won’t understand
As we go through the battles
With His strength
He said He left His peace with us
Before He left this earth
Let not your heart be troubled
Or afraid

He’s my friend

I gave tasted of His mercy

Jesus is Waiting

Every day He sits in heaven above
Longing to hear your voice
He desires to shower you with His love
Once you have made your choice

His arms are open wide to wrap around you
And ease your suffering
Your doubts and fears will vanish away
Once you have asked Him in

Jesus is waiting for you
To cry out to Him
And ask His love in
Jesus is waiting for you
Call Him today
Trust and obey
For He knows what’s best for you

It may seem this trial is too big for you
You just want to find a way out
When you wait on Him you renew your strength
Then He’ll take away any doubt

He gave His life upon the cross to rescue you from sin
Now He is just waiting for you to come to Him

I Waited on the Lord

The flood waters were rising against me and I cried into the Lord for help
They would not cease
Their volume was more than I could fathom
Covering my ankles
Then my knees
Up to my waist
I considered putting my finger in the leak
And solving it myself
But I waited on the Lord and He came
He turned the water into blessing
And it overwhelmed me
Oh how good and how merciful is our God
He makes our trouble into our testimony
As He delivers us from them all
My finances were dwindling and I cried into the Lord for help
Money was tight and food was scarce
The winter was closing in and the storehouse was bare
My belly was empty
My hunger was growing
I considered taking food from a neighbor unawares
Just to survive
But I waited on the Lord and He came with manna from heaven
Through men He brought food to fill my cupboard
It overflowed from that day forward
Oh how good and merciful is my God
He will not suffer His children to go hungry
But will fill them with honey and milk
From His vast storehouse
I was sick and fever racked my bones so I cried into the Lord to heal me
My belly groaned with cramps that would not cease
If I ate the food would not stay put
Nourishment did not sound soothing at all
Chills and sweats abounded
Headache wad unceasing
I considered just giving up as death sounded like sure relief
But I waited on the Lord and He healed me
He made the fever to go out of me
The sweats finally covered my bed clothes
My strength was restored and my appetite wad renewed
Oh how good and how merciful is my God
He does not leave me sick unto death
His living arms wrap around me in my hurting
And He takes it from me every time
I was down and feeling sad and lonely so I cried unto the Lord
The sorrow on my heart was worsening
My soul grieved out of my loneliness
As I idly sat in my house
No one there to commune with
No one calling or stopping by
Not able to go outside
I despaired for me life
But I waited on the Lord and He came in like a flood
He brought His peace and His joy and filled my heart
His love surrounded me wo beautifully
Ob how good and how merciful is our God
He comes when I call
He rescues me from all my despair
He loves me with an everlasting love
Thus I will praise His name
I will lift up my voice to the heavens
And exalt the name of the Lord my God
Because He is good and His mercy endures forever.

He Gave the Trees

I can look in awesome wonder
At the miracle of nature
Knowing flowers grow from tiny little seeds,
And that season after season
When the petals bloom in splendor
The whole cycle is entrusted to the bees

I can marvel at the way the leaves
Are changed to brilliant colors
As they slowly fall upon the frosty ground
But I’ll never understand the man
Who looks at all this master plan
And insists that proof of God cannot be found

He gave the trees
To color His creation.
He gave the stars
To brighten up the sky
He gave us senses
To enjoy each wonder he has made.
Who am I to doubt He’s there,
Who am I

With our eyes we see the brilliance
Of the bright stars in the heavens
As their light glows from a distance far away
With our ears we hear the chirping
Of a bird so sweetly singing
In a melody that’s far beyond compare

With our nose we smell the fresh rain
And our mouths enjoy the sweet grain
That the earth brings forth on each and every day
But it’s hard to understand a man
Whose body holds this master plan
And insists that God’s not with us day to day

He gave the trees
Tto color His creation.
He gave the stars
To brighten up the sky
He gave us senses
To enjoy each wonder he has made
Who am I
To doubt His wondrous plan
That was formed
By the master’s hand
And given from above to man
Who am I

If you’ll open up your eyes and ears
You’ll see Him as he draws you near
And hear His gentle voice say
I Love you

Fixer-Upper

When I was lost He found me
Set me on the narrow path
I could not find my way without Him
When I was sick He healed me
Gave me strength to rise from bed
My body healed without and within

When I was lonely He sat with me
Let me know that he was near
Oh what a comfort He is when by my side
When I was afraid He calmed me
Whispered peace into my ear
Now in His daily presence I can hide

The Lord is my fixer-upper
He makes me new each day
I’ll trust in Him
I’ll always win
As long as I follow His way

When I was broken He fixed me
Put me back together again
I’m a new creature whole and alive in Him
When I was in bondage He freed me
Paid the price to redeem me from sin
I owe my life to my Lord so I give it to Him

The Lord is my fixer-upper
He makes me new each day
I’ll trust in Him
I’ll always win
As long as I follow His way

In sorrow or in pain
In sunshine or rain
In doubt or in faith
In loss or in gain
He always is near
To ease me from fear
I trust in His holy name

Lifting my hands

Worthy is the Lamb who was slain

Words aren’t enough

Into Your Arms

You have led me day and night
Through a long and stormy life
Kept me safe when trouble loomed
Gave me hope when I felt doomed

Every day you guide my steps
When I woke and when I slept
You were watching for my soul
Picked me up when I was low

I long to see your face
To be held in your embrace
From this world I need escape
Into your arms

Grace was strong when I fell down
All the way your love abounds
Mercy flowed down from your throne
You never left me alone

I could feel your constant joy
Caused my heart to overflow
Inner peace was always there
You went with me everywhere

He Taught Us

He taught us obedience when He left heaven
Left His throne to come to earth
Left His glory to take on flesh
Left the praise to come and die

He taught us humility when He was born
In a lowly stable filled with hay
Wrapped with rags and settled in a manger
Born on earth to die for me

He taught us patience as He grew
Quiet submission to His father here
Learning life with no fanfare
Waiting for His day to arrive

He taught us submission when He was baptized
Knelt before John in the river Jordan
Ready to take on the mantle prepared for Him
Acknowledged as God’s son forever

He taught us compassion as He went
Town to town, touching the people
Answering questions meant to condemn Him
Meekness empowered in His loving eyes

He taught us wisdom as He was tried
Wrongly accused and condemned to die
His words would be futile, so He stayed silent
Ready to fulfill His mission in life

He taught us peace as He went toward the cross
Beaten and bruised, He was quiet through all
From the garden to Calvary there was no complaint
Died on that cross for me

He taught us hope as He rose from the grave
Back to the Father in heaven above
Giving us victory that will never fade
Oh what a Savior we have

This Thanksgiving Day

Stars shining bright

These are things I love in my life
These are the things that make me smile
These are the things for which I give thanks

Food on the table
Smells like a dream
Choices of drinks
Pie with whipped cream

Family around us
How blessed we are
People that care
Both near and afar

Joy overflows
Peace overcomes
Love overwhelms
Thanksgiving has come

Most of all thanks
For mercy and grace
That comes from my God
