Bills and worries pile up all around
It seems the enemy is gaining ground in my spirit

My prayer life fails me and my doubts seem to take hold

He will come riding on the clouds to greet me on that grand and glorious day

The Impossible Made Possible

He was sitting at the gate, just biding his time
Not expecting very much, perhaps just a dime
He’d been brought their every day, all of His life
It was all he knew to do.

Then one day two men came along to find him there
They asked him to look up and he looked into their stare
They said they had not alms for him.  He thought they didn’t care
There was not much he could say

Then one man spoke to him with all authority
He took His hand and helped him rise up on his feet
Those legs that always failed him now held up like a tree
True joy came over him that day

He went leaping and shouting and praising God
Leaping and shouting and praising the one who had raised him. 
The one who had saved him
He went leaping and shouting and praising God

The wonderful name of Jesus

All the people marveled that the man was on his feet
Every day they’d seen him begging alms out in the street
Now they see him dancing, no longer in defeat
They wondered how this could be

Peter spoke up as the one who helped him rise
He testified of Jesus whom the people had denied

How long have you been lame or in defeat?

My life seems like an ocean of disaster
As this vessel takes on water all the time
It seems I just get back up on the surface
Then I start to sink under this sin of mine

I try to find a way to stop the leaking
But it’s deep down in the caverns of the boat
I’m overwhelmed by fears of sudden drowning
As I look and I am barely now afloat

Then I look up and I see a hand appearing
It sems out of nowhere it arrives
With a last gasp and a reach out of the tumult
I grasp this hand and realize I’m alive

He’s my life saver
My soul’s Savior
He pulls me from the depths to solid ground

It’s been a while since I knelt bedside my bed and prayed
It’s been a while since I opened up the book and read
It’s been a while since I lifted up my arms in praise
But you have been here all along with your amazing grace

It’s been a while since I listened for your words of love
It’s been a while since I thought about your throne above
It’s been a while since I realized you are enough
But you have been there all the time with your redeeming love

He Comes Running

I was lost without redemption
And I needed His salvation
Deep inside my soul I knew He was the way
I looked up and saw the cross
Then I knew that I was lost
He shed His blood so I could live another day

When I realized my weakness
I knew I needed His forgiveness
I knelt down and cried out for His saving grace
All at once I felt His presence
Giving me a brand-new essence
