I long for the sound of His voice
Teaching me how to rejoice
He whispers so clear
In my spiritual ear
Hoping I'll make the right choice

I long for the touch of His hand
Confirming the path of His plan
As he gently leads
And quietly pleads
He urges me to understand

He loves me, more than I can know
He loves me, and promises to show
His grace is complete
As I sit at His feet
Oh, How He loves me so

I long to see His face
To feel His warm embrace
He's always right there
To hear every prayer
He leads me inside heavens gates

I long to know His love
Streaming down from above
He dwells deep inside
In my heart he abides
His spirit descends like a dove

He loves me, more than I can know
He loves me, and promises to show
His grace is complete
As I sit at His feet
Oh, How He loves me so

I shout Hallelujah to His name
Glorious Hallelujahs to His name
His praises I sing
My worship I bring
My voice cries blessed be His name

Greatness Out of This Great Mess

(This poem was written in 2016, while I was in the midst of cancer treatments.  I am now cancer free, praise the Lord!  But I never posted this poem for some reason, so I am adding it today?)

Riddled with cancer
Shoulder just quits
Neuropathy covers my feet
Two stem cell transplants
Weakness ensues
God will make some greatness out of this great mess

Jesus the master healer 
He supplies all the strength that I need
I fill all my days
With words of His praise
As His healing starts working in me

First I walked with a walker
A cane followed closely behind
I walked just a block at a time
But my drive just kept up
With my faith in my Lord
Now a mile a day isn't long

My shoulder would not move at all
The doctors could not understand
They said maybe never would heal
Movement came in ten months 
Therapy started at once
Now full range of motion is here

Jesus the master healer 
He supplies all the strength that I need
I fill all my days
With words of His praise
As His healing starts working in me

God will make some greatness
Out of this great mess
Cancer is no longer found
I'm healed from above
With doctors involved
In the therapy of Jesus love

By His mercy He formed the heavens and all the starry skies 
By His mercy He filled the oceans and dug the rivers wide 
By His mercy He caused the bees to buzz and gave the birds their song
By His mercy He gave the sun and moon so night would not be long

By His mercy He planned creation to provide for you and me
By His mercy He gave us meat and tasty fruit from all the trees
By His mercy He gave vitamins to keep us in good health
By His mercy He gave us minerals that could bring us all great wealth

By His mercy He saw all of us wallowing in sin
By His mercy He came down to earth to teach us how to win
By His mercy He gave up His life to die upon a cross
By His mercy He became a sacrifice for all of us

By His mercy He gave healing for all of our disease
By His mercy He gave deliverance to set the captive free
By His mercy He brought light into the darkness in our soul 
By His mercy He removed our shame and made us truly whole

You see, mercy is the greatest attribute of God
His love and all His grace from His mercy has evolved
And when He hung and died that day upon a tree
For all that I had done He became mercy to me

It’s Pretty Amazing

It's pretty amazing what God has done
He loved us so much He gave us His son
It's pretty amazing what God has done for me
It's pretty amazing to realize
He rose from the gave to give us new life
It's pretty amazing what God has done for me
What have I done to deserve this precious grace?
How can I even think His mercy is so free?
All of my life I've hidden from His face
Yet He has always been there calling out to me
So I finally realized that Jesus loved me
And I knelt down at the cross of sin and shame
I asked Him to forgive me and live inside of me
And I promised Him I'd start to praise His name
I heard the Holy Spirit whisper softly
My child you have become a Son of God
Now raise up on your feet and tell your story
That is why I shout and sing His love
It's pretty amazing what God has done
He loved us so much He gave us His son
It's pretty amazing what God has done for me
It's pretty amazing to realize
He rose from the gave to give us new life
It's pretty amazing what God has done for me
Sing highest praise to the Lamb
Shouting hallelujah with our praise
The highest praise to His name
