One More Soul

Come to Jesus
He is waiting
Waiting here to comfort you
Come to Jesus
He is calling
Calling out to rescue you

If you do not know my Savior
If you have not asked Him in
Now’s the time to pray in earnest
Today’s the day to call to Him

Long ago He died to save you
Took your sin upon that cross
You no longer have to worry
Jesus Christ has paid the cost

Listen close this is important
He is waiting just for you
Ask the Savior for forgiveness
Ask the Lord to rescue you

Tell Him that you need His mercy
Tell Him you will follow Him
Thank Him for His great salvation
When that’s done He will come in

He will bring you peace that calms you
He will bring abundant joy
He will fill your heart with His love
You’ll have hope forevermore

A song of praise will rise within you
Hallelujahs fill the air
Angels will rejoice in heaven
One more soul is saved down here

Then you’ll share it with your neighbor
He will see the change in you
He will want to share this blessing
One more soul will be rescued

Come to Jesus
He is waiting
Waiting here to comfort you
Come to Jesus
He is calling
Calling out to rescue you

Trembling to Praising

There was a time that I was fearful
Knowing God was watching me
I’d hide from Him and often tremble
Wondering what He’d do with me

But then one day I met the Savior
Learned that He did love me so
All that trembling turned to praising
His sweet name forevermore

He Drew Us

Lovingly He sent His Son, His only Son
To die upon that cross at calvary
Lovingly He asked us to accept the One
That from all our sin could set us free.

Lovingly He sought us when we did not know Him
Lovingly He drew us to His side
Lovingly He longed for us to ask Him to come in
So He could set us free and give us life

Saving Grace

I can’t find a way to tell you
How much Jesus means to me
Until you recognize His saving grace
He is more than just a friend
And more than just a crutch
He’s the one who on the cross did take my place

I was lost and meant for hell
When He came to me and called
He told me that He loved me more than life
That’s why so many years ago
He gave His life for me
And rescued me from all my sin and strife

And in case you didn’t know
He did it for you, too
For everyone who calls on Him He saves
So won’t you pray today
And ask Him to come in
And then you’ll recognize His saving grace

The Matchless Gift

I remember the day He called to me
In a church so far away
His spirit reached out and captured me
As the altar call was played
But I could not move out of my seat
As I sat with hand up raised
And we left that night before I prayed
To ask Jesus in my heart

Later that week the pastor came
To my friend’s house to see me
He asked if I wanted to pray that prayer
And I told him yes sir please
As I prayed I felt my body chill
And the sweat gushed out if me
I knew that Jesus had come in
And I knew He had touched me

What a wonder
What a Savior
What a matchless gift He gives
What a privilege
What a mystery
How He washed away my sin
I will always have that memory
Of the day He saved my soul
I have never been the same again
As He made my new life whole

I returned back home to my job and friends
But a change had just occurred
And I realized I had to change
I went back to my old church
I counseled with the pastor
And I lent my voice to the choir
But the friends I used to hang with
Were still there to lead me sour

Two years went by and I changed a lot
But the old ways wouldn’t go
I went back out to Iowa
I found a love that God had sown
Two months later I moved out that way
And I married that lady fair
Thirty-eight years later we’re serving God
And I know He’s always there

What a wonder
What a Savior
What a matchless gift He gives
What a privilege
What a mystery
How He washed away my sin

I will always have that memory
Of the day He changed my life
I have never been the same again
Since the day I took my wife
Jesus gave her to me
It’s the best thing He has giv’n
What a wonderful redeemer
He has made this life worth liv’n

What a wonder
What a Savior
What a matchless gift He gives
What a privilege
What a mystery
How He washed away my sin

Confound he Wise

It’s not that complicated
It doesn’t take a lot
To free yourself  from sin
And make it right with God

In fact, it’s rather simple
And that confounds the wise
All you have to  do is pray
And accept His sacrifice

Once you’ve taken that step
You’re life is right with Him
You can know your heaven bound
And have His peace within

My Way Back

I saw the old man
walk into church that Sunday morn
His clothes were tattered
his skin was worn
I could smell the hardness of life
Three pews away
And I was ready to move
when I heard him pray

I’ve got to find my way back to you
I’ve drifted too far away
Not sure how far I’ve strayed
I’ve got to find my way back to you
Please keep shining your light
into this night
that I’m going thru
He sat alone

no one dared to come near
The music started
he bowed his head
I could see the tears
were running down his face
As we sang Amazing Grace
he looked up and prayed

Dear God
I’m not sure what I need to do
My life is such a big mess
I can’t find any rest
Dear God
please show me what I need to do
To get turned around
and be grounded in you again

I could feel the tears
start running from my eyes
And while the music played on
I moved to his side
I said friend
the Lord has heard your cry
Would you come with me right now
I will help you find your way

As the music
played just as I am
We knelt down
bowed our heads
closed our eyes
and he started to pray

Father forgive me
for the wrongs I have done
I give you my life
I’ll follow your Son
I promise my life
will be yours from now on
Dear Jesus
thank you for my friend

Then he took my hand
and gave a gentle squeeze
A smile as big as heaven
broke his weary, worn face
I know that he’d met Jesus
and I looked up in praise

Lord I thank you
for showing us the way
When we get lost on the path
you keep drawing us back
Lord I thank you
for this new-found friend
Yes he found his way back
all the way back to you

Harmful Destination

I never would have guessed
That what I thought was best
Was really just a harmful destination
When I looked around
I ultimately found
My life was headed for some devastation

So I listened to  a friend
Cared for where I’d land
He told me I should give my  life to Jesus
I did the very same
And now my  life is tame
I  know that in  His mercy I can trust

Avoid the Wreck

When you get to a railroad crossing
You see signs everywhere
And often there’s a bar to keep you back
I figure you all see these signs
And take them serious
‘Cause if you don’t, you’ll wind up in a wreck

We see strange things a-brewin’
All around us anymore
The signs of the times are really clear
Jesus said He’s coming back
When these signs appear
Have you made Him your Savior and Lord

For when He returns in the clouds
A crossing will take place
For all  of those who’ve given Him their lives
Those who are left behind
The worst of times they’ll face
Will you avoid that wreck and and save your life

We Win!

The stage was set just perfect
For Satan and his crew
Jesus they were going to crucify
Satan thought he’d pillage
Peace and joy and hope
From all who thought this Jesus brought them life

He used the guards to thrash Christ
Then they nailed Him to that tree
He died and then was burred in the tomb
Satan danced in victory
He thought the battle won
The Son of God was dead, and not too soon
Suddenly Christ then appeared
And took the keys of hell
Satan’s power was pillaged from within
Jesus Christ defeated death
He lives forevermore
He made the way for all of us to win
