What Are Yours?

We pay it little attention
We hardly know it’s there
We go through life so blindly
And most of us don’t care

When we’re young we learn to say no
And push the limits of all
As we grow our pride takes center stage
And our own way is our call

We strive for worldly riches
And we thing we know all things
There’s nothing that can teach us
Of a better way to live

My friends this is the symptom
Of the sin that’s born in all
From Adam’s seed it entered
And caused us all to fall

But Jesus paid redemption’s price
To take our sin away
Won’t you accept Him as your Lord
And save your soul today?

Praise Rises Up

I can feel a praise is rising up
When I think about what Jesus did for me
He captured victory
From the hand of sure defeat
His sacrifice became what set me free

The praise within me bubbles to the top
As the story has an ending full of hope
He was buried since He died
In three days from death He’d rise
He returned to heaven which I can now call home

Praise Rises Up
Within my Spirit man
My voice lifts high His name
As I praise the Lord again
Worthy are you Lord
Of the praises of my heart
I’ll sing my Hallelujahs
To your name

I can’t contain the joy He brings
That’s why my mouth must shout and sing
He’s worthy of my praise
I’ll lift His name all day
An offering of praise I humbly bring

Praise Rises Up
When I think of what He did
He gave His life for me
In freedom I can live
Worthy are you Lord
Of the praises of my heart
I’ll sing my hallelujahs
To your name

The wonderful name of Jesus
The matchless name of Jesus
The merciful name of Jesus
The precious name of Jesus
The delivering name of Jesus
The providing name of Jesus
The marvelous name of Jesus
No other name like His

Praise Rises Up
Within me every day
When I think about His love
And the price He had to pay
Worthy are you Lord
Of the praises of my heart
I’ll sing my hallelujahs
To your name

Open The Door

This world has it’s cliques and it’s classes
That dictate who’s in and who’s out
It seems that no matter what  I do
I never quite have enough clout

If you’re in the same boat as I am
And wonder who’ll give you a chance
This world is a place of hard lessons
We get stuck in circumstance

But Jesus is waiting with patience
For you to come open the door
He’ll give you His loving acceptance
When you ask Him to be Savior

Make The Right Call

He beckons me out of my slumber
He speaks in His soft, gentle voice
Write the words that are settled within you
Let the world know that they have a choice

I thought for a minute about this
Then I picked up my paper and pen
I knew what the message would be like
I knew there’s a choice in the end

He tells us in plain, simple language
That it’s heaven or hell for us all
Each of us has a decision
I hope that you make the right call

You can follow your own path as always
Ignoring the warnings of God
Refusing to know His sweet mercy
And the price His Son paid at the cross

We are all born with sin in our system
That seed was placed long ago
And sin will not make it to heaven
It can only be covered by blood

God sent His Son to redeem us
From the curse of sin we all acquired
Accepted His blood as our ransom
Is the remedy that God required

So today you have a decision
If Jesus is not in your heart
You can ask Him in and gain heaven
Orr from God you’ll forever depart

I put down my pen and I pondered
These words that he spoke to my heart
Then I once more asked Him to forgive me
For the times I had not done my part

He longs for us all to come to Him
Free from sin by the work of His Son
So accept Him today
And you’ll find the way
To make heaven your eternal home

Give Your All

It only takes confession
Jesus Christ as Lord
Acceptance of His sacrifice
To take the place of yours

Do these things and you’ll be saved
From hells dark endless days
Your home will be in heaven
He’ll help you find your way

But why stand at the doorstep
When the blessings past the door
Go beyond the minimal
Give your all and reap rewards

Greater peace and joy are there
True hope and no more fear
Faith will come to drive out doubt
And He’ll wipe every tear

Give your all for Jesus
Give your all today
Give into the word of God
Let blessings come your way

I Love God and He Loves Me

I love God.  He loves me
What a blessed life I lead
New each day is His mercy
I love God and He loves me.

I love God and keep His word
Knowing I must tell the world
Of this love that never fails
I love God and He loves me

He loves me His promise clear
He has promised to be near
And to listen to my prayer
He loves me His promise clear

I love God and do my best
To follow all His commandments
They’ll testify to all the rest
I love God and do my best

He loves me and gives His grace
All my sins He does erase
And one day I shall see His face
He loves me and gives His grace

I love God and trust in Him
No matter what this life may bring
When trials come my heart will sing
I love God and trust in Him

God loves me and lends His hand
Helps me find His loving plan
His spirit helps me understand
God loves me and lends Hs hand

I love God and God loves me
What a blessed life I lead
I pray you will know His peace
I love God and God loves you

Many thanks

An extra post today
To thank you in my way
For you have made my day

You may ask me how
I got such a big wow
I’ll tell you here right now

Thius day is the first time
100 viewed my rhymes
I’m thrilled you took the time

So I give my thanks to you
To everyone who viewed
I pray God blesses you!

Your Children

I have to admit it’s true
I hope it’s not true of you
I have a tendency
To lack the decency
Of giving each person their due

I have been quilty for years
Of giving a label from fear
If someone is different
I get defiant
And judge them from what I can see

Lord, help me to have compassion
To all who I have interaction
Let me see their heart
And know that they are
A child of yours just as I am

Every Single Time

When I am down and feeling blue
I lift my eyes and look to you
Because I know you’ll see me through
Every single time

When I am sick or feeling pain
I look to you, Lord, yet again
Because I know your healing came
Every single time

Your mercy is remarkable
Your grace is ever free
I never will quite understand
The love you have for me

When I’m alone and feeling down
I look to you before I drown
Then you bring me to higher ground
Every single time

No eye can see
No tongue can tell
The greatness of your love
No one can start
To count the times
You’ve touched them from above

Your mercy is remarkable
Your grace is ever free
I never will quite understand
The love you have for me
