Time for a Choice

Oh what pleasures this world gives
Of what happiness I can live
Oh how silly is all of this
When you think of eternity

Life here on earth is time for choice
Ephemeral earth will be destroyed
We all will end with the sound of one voice
The judgment of God will arrive

And all who have chosen Christ as their Lord
Will end up in heaven their crowns will adorn
But those who rejected the one I adore
Will spend all their days in hell

I beg you today to make up your mind
Because this life determines life for all time
Once dead there is chance to change your mind
Choose Jesus and you will be saved

All of my heart and soul

All of my mind and strength

All that’s within me sings to you

With my hands lifted high

Your name I magnify

I lift my hands to worship you

All of me will worship

All of me will praise you

All of me will bow before your throne

All of me will worship

All of me will praise you

I will give you all of me

I Tried

I tried to find wisdom
In things of this world
But soon i realized
That none was quite real

I tried to find peace
Instead chaos reigned
I tried to find joy
But sorrow prevailed

I tried to gain riches
But still I felt poor
No matter how much
I still wanted more

I tried to find hope
But doom filled my life
I tried to find love
Bit it always slipped by

Then I met Jesus
I learned that He died
He paid for my sins
He gave me new life
Now there is only
One thing that I try
That’s to follow my Savior
Until I should die

I know He will give me
All of these things
If I will remain
Everyday close to Him

Enemy Under Control

I’ve done a lot of things in the course of my life
From sales to flipping burgers and a manager at times
Through many of my years my life was ruled by pride
So often I would fool myself to thinking sin would hide

You see I was a hypocrite who lived a different life
In Jesus days the Pharisees were what I would be like
I’d masquerade as righteous while I lived a life of lies
Then one day I was challenged to bring my life in line

I finally realized that my life was full by pride
I learned to bring that enemy under control in time
Now I live my life by the words of Jesus Christ
In Him I will forever more abide

The Believers Life

Real Bright

Some are like those tiny bulbs In refrigerators
Then shine when people are around but when alone they’re out
Some will shine like lanterns powered by some kind of gas
You must make sure the wick is up for them to shine about

But we as Christians need to shine the light of God real bright
There’s lots of darkness in the world where we must testify
And if our light is shining bright then hopefully they’ll swarm
Like bugs at night they’ll come around to just enjoy the light

His Eye is on Me

There are days when I wander off the path
Like a sheep that wanders off from the flock
I find that I have lost my way
Because my heart is prone to stray
I wonder if I’ll ever make it back

The briars and the brambles prick and wound me
I find myself desiring to return
I cry out to my God above
He watches over me with love
And guides me so I’ll know which way to turn

His eye is on me
He watches over me
Even in my darkest times
He is there beside
His eye is on me
He will guide me safely home
When I wander away
He is there

I’ve learned that in His love I will abide
For even when I turn and go astray
His eye is always watching me
Eventually I come to see
That when I’m lost He’s there to make a way

He makes a way through sickness
He makes a way through doubt
He makes a way through trials
He’ll always pull me out

His eye is on me
He watches over me
Even in my darkest times
He is there beside
His eye is on me
He will guide me safely home
When I wander away
He is there

Jesus Returns

Judgment Day

The heavens shall be open
A white horse shall appear
The man who sits upon him
Brings both judgment and war

His eyes are like a fire
His head bore many crowns
Clothed in garments dipped in blood
The Word of God He’s called

The armies of all heaven
Will follow Him this day
White horses will they ride upon
White garments will array

The fowls of the earth are called
To feast upon all flesh
And all who do remain on earth
Will meet a forecast death

If you are not familiar
With the words I’ve written here
Revelation nineteen ten
Is where you start to read

I do not share to frighten to
Because not all are doomed
There is a way of being saved
From all this talk of gloom

Make Jesus Christ your Lord and King
He is the only way
To be in heaven on this day
Won’t you be saved today

Foolish Habits

This world has lots of pleasures
They are wonderful to try
They make us feel important
Or they give us such a high
In this life we will face many
Of the tempters little ploys
They are all meant to enchant you
Into thinking flesh is Lord

But I have news for you my friend
The day is coming soon
When the King of Kings and Lord of Lords
Will come as a bridegroom
He is looking for a church
That is gleaming white as snow
There is just one way to get there
That is Jesus Christ to know

Put aside your foolish habits
The repent of all your sin
Allow the blood of Jesus
To wash you clean within
Accept His blood filled sacrifice
For He dies for you and me
Then he rose again from death
To give life eternally

When the battle is raging and my strength is almost gone
I have run out of weapons and I feel all alone
There is one who remains who will always be true
I open my heart and I run to you

When my health goes to pieces and I feel a bit lame
I can get to the point that death seems an escape
There is one who remains that can heal every pain
I open my eyes and I run to you
