The River of Grace

I stood by the banks of the river
The river of God’s great grace
It flowed from His throne in heaven
Right down to the human race

All were invited to enter
This stream of His endless love
His grace was poured out to us all
When He gave His only Son

What an act of mercy
What an act of love
What a mighty God we serve
Who loves us all so much
He created us to praise Him
And to walk with Him each day
I love to stand amid the flow
In the river of His grace

So many souls are searching
For something more in life
They’ve tried all kinds of different ways
But are not satisfied

If only they would realize
This awesome truth I share
There is a God in heaven
That longs to bring them care

A simple prayer is all it takes
To enter His embrace
Just ask Him for forgiveness
And step into His grace

Jesus, mighty Savior
My sins I now confess
Forgive me, please, I ask today
Come take away this mess
I promise I will turn away
From sin that rules my life
I’ll make you Lord of all my heart
Until the day I die

What an act of mercy
What an act of love
What a mighty God we serve
Who loves us all so much
He created us to praise Him
And to walk with Him each day
I welcome you to stand with me
In the river of His grace

I celebrate the mercy of the Lord
He overlooks my faults and all my past
When I come to him
His arms will take me in
I celebrate the mercy of the Lord

I celebrate the grace He shows to me
The blessings that he gives abundantly
There’s nothing I deserve
So Him alone I serve
I celebrate the grace He shows to me

What an awesome Savior
What a glorious King
He looks upon me as if I’m His child
I lift my hands in worship
I lift my voice in praise
Up to my Lord, my God, my everything

I celebrate the way He loves me so
He never leaves me lonely or distressed
He gives me peace within
I owe my life to him
I celebrate the love He shows to me

I celebrate my soon and coming King
Who promised He’d return to take me home
When He does appear
We’ll meet Him in the air
Our heavenly home awaits us over there

What an awesome Savior
What a glorious King
He looks upon me as if I’m His child
I lift my hands in worship

Up to my Lord, my God, my everything

Strength in my weakness
Joy in my sorrow
Faith in my times of doubt
Peace in the storms
Truth when I worry
All of my fears He removes with His love
He is my source of life

In Him I move
He has the plan
That will bring me a glorious end
Answers to questions
Guidance each day
His Spirit leads me to the truth
Holding my hand
Carrying me
When the steps are too hard to take
I only move when He moves

I have my being
Only in Christ
Grace that’s Amazing
Mercy that’s free
He paid the price on the cross
Poured out His spirit
Setting me free
I owe Him my life for eternity
I only will be where He is

My glorious Savior
My wonderful Lord
My life is entangled in you
There’s no place on earth
That I’d rather be
Than safe in your loving arms

In you I live and move
And have my being
You are my Heavenly Father

I come to you this morning Lord
With my heart open
My ears open
My eyes open
My mind open
Hoping to hear your voice
To sense your presence
To feel your touch

I cry out to you
With words of praise
With words of worship
With words of thanksgiving
With words of repentance
Hoping for your mercy
Hoping for your grace
Hoping for your compassion

I remember your promise
If I seek you first

Jesus is always amazing
His mercies are new every day
The sun never quits
From dawn ’til it sets
It lightens our path all the way

It’s amazing He takes time to hear me
When I call out to Him in prayer
His ear is inclined
He walks by my side
I know that He always will care

Oh what a Savior is Jesus
How wonderful is His sweet name
Jesus my Lord and my Refuge
I lift up my voice in praise
Praise to the one who redeemed me
Praise to the Lamb on the throne
Praise to the one who rose from the dead
So I could make heaven my home

Magnificent is my Lord Jesus
His Spirit lives deep in my soul
When I need strength
His power will sustain
He’ll never allow me to fail

I marvel at how He surrounds me
With the miracle of His sweet grace
When I mess up
He showers His love
Amazing me time and again

When Storms Hit The Valley

I find a sweet peace within me
When I shouldn’t have peace at all
It arrives when the storm is raging
And the waves are gathered tall
The wind howls fiercely around me
I feel overwhelmed and afraid
When His peace settles in to calm me
And my worry is turned to faith

Then joy comes and wraps around me
And replaces my worry and fear
I now know this storm will not harm me
His joy makes my eyes shed a tear
It instills a deep hope within me
A hope that is steadfast and sure
That He’ll walk with me all the way
As long as this storm endures

What mercy
What grace
What love He shows me
As He stays by my side
When storms hit the valley
What mercy
What grace
I lift up His name
That glorious name
The wonderful name of Jesus

Then I feel His love deep inside me
Welling up in my spirit and mind
It overtakes every heartache
To know that this love is all mine
I lift up my voice rejoicing
Relieved of the storm that did rage
I sit here content in His presence
Knowing He covers me with His grace

I don’t need to fear or wander in doubt
I don’t need to panic or have worry cry out
I don’t need to question what life’s all about
I only need Jesus. He’ll find a way out

Love Like Jesus Loved

To love like Jesus loved we have to love them all the same
It doesn’t matter where there from or how they spell their name
Thin or tall, large or short their size is not an issue
Neither is the color of their skin or what they’ve been through

To love like Jesus loved we must remember who we are
Sinners that are saved by grace because we gave our heart
No one deserves His grace at all especially not me
Who am I to keep that grace when He says set it free

To love like Jesus loved means to reach out every day
We must give all we have to those who need to find their way
We cannot pick and choose who comes across our daily path
Each person that we meet is someone He has planted there

To love like Jesus loved means to put away our pride
It means that when we get put down we take it all in stride
It means that grace is over all and mercy rules the day
It means that when someone needs help we take the time to pray

To love like Jesus loved is not an option we can shun
He gave us His command that we must reach to everyone
So let’s get busy church and do the bidding of the Lord
Because to love like Jesus loved is what He truly called us for

Washed Away

A crowd gathered in the street
Welcoming the King
Palm leaves scattered on the ground
Robes laid at His feet

Hosannah to the King who comes
Riding on a colt
Proclaiming highest praise to Him
Before the rocks cry out

He overturns the temple wares
Rebukes the Pharisees
Tells stories of hard times to come
The crowd now disbelieves

By night they take Him quickly
A fast and unfair trial
He stands before the crowd again
They shout crucify

A crowd gathered in the street
To mock this would be king
His body whipped and beaten down
He walks in suffering

Up to Calvary they go
Hands and feet are nailed
They raise Him up for all to see
A sign says He is Lord

Then He spoke three words of hope
Father forgive them
And all down through the ages
His mercy now does win

He gave His life that day for us
No one took it from Him
Through His sacrifice for us
He’s washed away our sin

Oh what a wonderful Savior
Who died that day for me
Purchased my salvation
From sin He set me free

The circumstances may look bleak
My health my not be good
My finances may struggle
But God has been good to me

God’s been merciful to me

He delivers me from evil
He holds me tightly in His arms
He reassures me with His peace
He has been merciful to me

He has forgiven me countless times
He has overlooked my faults
He has provided when I have failed
He has been gracious to me
Always

Even when I cannot see it
He is good
Even when I cannot understand
He is merciful
Even when I lose my way
He is gracious
Always and forever
He loves me

So when I’m down and out
When life seems upside down
When sorrow or sickness come
When darkness is in my life
I will still praise Him
I will still worship Him
I will still trust Him

Because Always and Forever
He loves me
