Trusting Jesus

When my joy turns into sorrow
Under burdens that arise
Days of worry come upon me
As a tear forms in my eye
Sadness could come overwhelm me
If I let these thoughts go on
But I’ve learned to seek my Savior
When my troubles are prolonged

When my peace has been disrupted
Turmoil starts to swirl around
My mind wanders out of wanting
To find rest from troub’ling sounds
Doubt could eas’ly overtake me
If I let these thoughts go on
But I’ve learned to trust my Savior
He will keep me from all harm

Trusting Jesus in my trials
Trusting Jesus in my doubts
Trusting Jesus when I worry
He will turn my life about
When the hard times come upon me
There’s no reason to get down
I have learned to trust in Jesus
Jesus makes my life abound

When I start to doubt His wisdom
My life seems to be off track
I can’t seem to find the answer
To the questions that I ask
Storms of life are gathered ‘round me
Whirlwinds howling in my ear
I have learned to trust in Jesus
In the midst of all my fears

Trusting Jesus in the thunder
Trusting Jesus in the rain
Trusting Jesus when I cannot find
My way back home again
He is always watching over me
He is always by my side
I can rest with calm assurance
When in Jesus I abide

I will trust Him

I will trust the Lord
Even in the darkest storm
I’ll stand upon His word
I will trust Him

Each and every day
I will give my life to Him
I will trust the Lord

Now I lay me down to sleep
I know my Lord is close to me
If I should wake before I die
I’ll lift my voice up to the sky

His praises will I lift so high
To waft up to where He resides
Upon the throne as King of Kings
He is my all, my everything

He is my joy when sorrow comes
He is my peace amid the storms
He is my refuge from all foes
He is my calm in midst of woes

He is my hope when hope seems gone
He is my strength when I’m not strong
He is my healer when my health fades
He is my guide to light my way

There’s so much more He is to me
His blessings fall abundantly
I will gladly shout and sing
He is my all, my everything

Now I must rest my weary head
I lay it down upon my bed
I’ll dream about my Lord and King

Our Guide in the Night

There’s a light at the end of the tunnel
It shines like a star far away
As I walk through this valley of sickness
The light helps me find my way

I know He has promised me healing
That the stripes on His back paid the price
I am waiting to see
That healing in me
As I walk through the trial of this life

Glory to God in the Highest
Who gave us His son Jesus Christ
I will lift up that name
That wonderful name
He’s the Light that guides in the night

We all have a tunnel to go through
At some moment in each of our lives
His promise is that He’ll be with us
Through the low times as well as the highs

He said He will leave His peace with us
He gave us abundant joy
In the midst of the storm
I won’t be alarmed
I know Jesus is right by my side

Glory to God in the Highest
Who gave us His son Jesus Christ
I will lift up that name
That wonderful name
He’s the Light that guides in the night

Jesus is always amazing
His mercies are new every day
The sun never quits
From dawn ’til it sets
It lightens our path all the way

It’s amazing He takes time to hear me
When I call out to Him in prayer
His ear is inclined
He walks by my side
I know that He always will care

Oh what a Savior is Jesus
How wonderful is His sweet name
Jesus my Lord and my Refuge
I lift up my voice in praise
Praise to the one who redeemed me
Praise to the Lamb on the throne
Praise to the one who rose from the dead
So I could make heaven my home

Magnificent is my Lord Jesus
His Spirit lives deep in my soul
When I need strength
His power will sustain
He’ll never allow me to fail

I marvel at how He surrounds me
With the miracle of His sweet grace
When I mess up
He showers His love
Amazing me time and again

Before I rise from sleep
Before the day begins
Before I take one step
I’m going to talk to Him

Before I think of work
Before I plan my day
Before I fix my hair
I’ll ask Him for His way

Jesus knows what this day brings
Before it even starts
If I will place my trust in Him

I’ve had days when I was weary and days when I was sad
Days when I was healthy and days when I was glad
In all my days I realized one very simple truth
Gods goodness always overwhelmed my trials

Always there to meet my need
I will sing His praise
Worship Him always

I’ve had days when I was sick and days when I was down
Days when I was healthy and days I walked alone
But one truth stood for sure through every single hour
God helped me through each moment by His power

In my weakness He gives strength
In my struggles He gives hope
In my loneliness He comes and talks with me
In my sickness He brings health

Creation Testifies

In all the world around me
I see His loving hand
I know He’s watching over me
He surveys this great land

I love to hear the birds
As they sing their praises high
I love to see the trees
As they lift their branches high

I love to feel the wind
His spirit whisking by
I love to see the stars
So majestic in the sky

All to bring His praises
To lift His name up high
All to bring Him glory
His creation testifies

When I behold this symphony
Of praise to Christ our Lord
I just have to lift my voice
To the one that I adore

Somewhere

I was wandr’ing through life going nowhere
My path even unknown to me
I wallowed in sin
As I struggled to win
My anguish was buried beneath

Then a voice came to me from somewhere
And called me to somewhere unknown
I determined to go
Down this new, unknown road
Perhaps this somewhere could calm my soul

As I followed that voice it led somewhere
To a place so amazing to me
A peace filled my soul
While true joy sweetly flowed
I knew this was somewhere so sweet

The someone who called me was Jesus
The somewhere was close to His side
Somehow He found me
And lent me His mercy
His helped my soul to survive

If you’re trav’lling through this life lonely
Heading somewhere that you do not know
His voice calls to you
To come somewhere new
You’ll find refuge for your troubled soul

If not for the Lord I’d still be in sin
No pardon for me the devil would win
I’d flounder through life and wish for retrieve
Then in the end hell my soul would receive

If not for the Lord no joy would be mine
My laughter would be empty echoes through time
Sorrow below in my merriest rhymes
I’d wind up with smiles my face would tell lies

But He’s mine, all mine
He redeemed me that day long ago
He’s mine, eternally mine
He is with me wherever I go

If not for the Lord all hope would be lost
I’d pay the price now an eternal cost
No future would hold anything prosperous
I’d flounder through life in a whirlwind of loss

If not for the Lord my peace would subside
I’d think I was calm but I’d tremble inside
When it seemed things were right only fear would reside
Only terror would fill up the thoughts of my mind

But He’s mine, all mine

He is with me wherever I go

I don’t have to worry
I don’t have to fret
I don’t need to have any doubt
When I asked Him to save me
He did it that day
And my life was turned about

I cannot tell thee whence it came
This peace within my soul
When cancer reared it’s ugly head
He’s all I chose to know
When days were tough and weakness reigned
And I was feeling low
His calm assurance rescued me
From satan’s vengeful blow

I stand in His unfailing love
I look to see His face
For He has been so good to me
He showered me with grace
In all the days since illness struck
His merciful embrace
Has held me closely to His side
