Just reach out to Him

There is peace for

Just focus on Him
And you'll gain

When you feel ill 
Just wait upon God

When I've lost my direction 
In this crazy old world
I'm reluctant to ask for some help
I think it's a reflection 
That I'm not self-assured 

And it makes me feel very inept
But I can't have this attitude
In my walk with the Lord
When I find I am losing my way
I will have more gratitude
If i look to His word
And find how He tells me to pray

He says first I must ask Him
When I've come to stray 
Whether knowledge or wisdom I need
And He says that He'll give 
And show me the way
To find the next step in my plea

Next is to seek out 
His will for my life 
In the situation I've fallen in
Then I can figure out
The escape from my strife
And find the path destined to win

Last I must knock
At the door I come to
It shall open to me on its own
The door is unlocked
And it opens to view 
The answer that He will make known

Now all that sounds simple 
And easy to do
But there's one trick you need to remember
The asking and seeking
And knocking you do
Must be done 'til you're led to the answer

He always will lead to the answer
He always will answer your plea
It's the waiting and watching that's hard to do
So ask 'til your heart is set free
And seek 'til you see
And knock "til you reach the door.

His Mercy

His mercy is powerful
Reaching down to me
Cleansing all my sin
And setting me free

His mercy is majestic
Soaring 'bove the clouds 
Placing all the stars
So they speak aloud

His mercy is much higher
Than anything I know
It fills up all of heaven
And all of earth below

His mercy is much richer
Than our diamonds or gold
It never runs out
And it never grows old

His mercy is purer
Than mountain streams that flow
It never fails to comfort
And His peace it will bestow

His mercy is enough today
To meet all of my needs
So I will give my praise to Him
Because He first loved me

How Do I Love You, Lord?

How do I love you, Lord?
Let me try and count the ways
There are so many things I thank you for
And I give you all my praise

I love you as the creator
He gave us all that we see
You provided a world where we can live
Such a marvelous place to be

I love you as my provider
I have no need that you can meet
You watch out for me and care for me
Every day your grace is so sweet

I love you for you are my healer
When I’m hurt I can trust in you
I never should doubt or fear the result
For I know you will bring me through

I love you for all of the blessings
That flow out to me so many ways
I cannot begin to count all the times
You have touched me day to day

I love you for you are my Savior
You shed your blood to set me free
And you rose again to give eternal life
I’m in awe of your great mercy

There are so many ways I love you
For all the things that you’ve done
My praise will continue for all of my days
Because my victory you’ve won

But above all these things I love you
Just because of who you are
You are Lord of all Lords forever
I am constantly in awe

And I will lift my praises
No matter what life brings
Because you are seated in heaven
And are crowned King of all Kings

I thought about God's love today
How He washed my sins away
He guides me through my every day 
What a God I serve

Then I thought of His great grace
That He would come and take my place
Upon that cross in such disgrace 
What a God i serve

His mercy is unending
His love is limitless 
His grace is overwhelming and so free 
His peace is so assuring 
His joy is so immense 
And all these blessings 
He bestows on me

I thought about His mercy 
How He overlooked my frailty 
And He used me in His ministry
What a God I serve

One day soon He'll come again
Riding on the clouds 
He'll take us home to be with Him
Where we will sing and shout 
I'll lift His praise up every day
For all He's done for me
I'll tell of His great love
To everyone I meet

His mercy is unending
His love is limitless 
His grace is overwhelming and so free 
His peace is so assuring 
His joy is so immense 
And all these blessings  
He bestows on

As I Am

Who knows where the waves take form and start out?
Who knows where they travel, or when they will stop?
Who knows how high or how far they will go?
Only the God I serve

Who knows where the clouds have taken their shape?
Of how big they’ll get, or when dissipate?
Who guilds them at morn and paints them at night?
Only the God I serve

Our God is amazing, He knows everything
From the depths of all nature to what makes birds sing
His wisdom is more than imaginable
And He loves me just as I am.

Who placed the stars and calls them by name?
Who has arranged them to show us His grace?
Who knows how for their light will stay bright?
Only the God I serve

Our God is incredible.  There’s no one like Him
He sits in the on His throne and controls everything
Yet He still takes the time to hear when I pray
And He loves me just as I am.

So I will lift up His praise to the sky
I’ll shout from the rooftops as others pass by
My God is the one who can transform your lives
And He loves you just as you are.

Closer

I want to be closer.  Closer to your side
I want to be nearer.  Never let me hide
I want to be purer.  As I walk through life
I want to be yours.  In you I will abide

There is never a time you will leave my side
But I may wander away
When I do I can rest assured you abide
In my heart each and every day

You promised you’ll never leave or forsake me
Even if I should mess up
When I find myself far from where I should be
You come and fill my cup

When I cannot hide from the trials I face
I just want to walk away
But you come and guide me to a peaceful place
Where I can bow and pray

These are the reasons I trust in you
Every promise I know is true
You will be with me my whole life through
Jesus, my Lord

Fruit For Life

Flooding up within my soul
Your Spirit comes to make me whole 
Bringing with it fruit for life
Filling me with sheer delight

Joy unspeakable fills my heart
Overtakes all other parts
Fear no longer bothers me
Because His joy makes me complete

Peace that passes knowledge comes
Soothes my mind from what I've done
Worry 'bout the future gone
Now that peace has overcome

Patience, goodness, faith thrown in
Measured full from His blessing 
I know He is in control
In His time all things will flow

Temperance, meekness, gentleness 
My life free from all my mess 
Overcoming victory
That's what His fruit brings to me

Over all His love abounds
Sets my feet on solid ground
Love that transcends everything 
Washes over all my sin

Fruit for life this is to me
Giving me a life that's free
Free from all of life's dismay
Free to praise Him all my days

His Amazing Love

Higher than the mountains 
Wider than the oceans 
Deeper than the canyons
That’s His love for me
Purer than spring water
Makes us sons and daughters
Fills our heart with wonder 
That's His love for me
What amazing love He has for me
When He gave His life on Calvary
He left His royal throne
To come and die alone
All so I could be set free

Always sends His blessings
Joy that’s never ending
Fills me so my heart sings
That’s His love for me

Peace that calms my heart’s cry
Guides me safely through trials
His Spirit teaches me life
That’s His love for me

What amazing love He has for me
He rose from death and lives again
And one day He’ll return
To bring me home with Him
To a mansion He’s prepared just for me
 
What amazing love He has for me
I can only lift my voice and sing
Jesus is His name
I’ll give all my praise
Forever He will be my Lord and King

Have you seen the Lord today?
Looked in His eyes?
Have you walked down His street?
Have you stopped to say Hi?

There was that beggar who asked you for bread
You walked on by, hanging your head
You had the money to spare him a dime
But you did not want to take the time

You passed by a lame man trying to walk
Your spirit said help him, but the flesh just balked
You watched as he fell and tried to get up
But you did not want to stay and get stuck

Then there’s that girl who asked you the time
She said she was late, but you drove on by
You were going her way with plenty of room
But you were afraid she would do harm to you

Have you seen the Lord today?
Looked in His eyes?
Have you walked down His street?
Have you stopped to say Hi?

Jesus said even when I do it for them
It is the same as I’d done it for Him
If I’d look in their eyes, I’d see my Lord
As He asks me to help His floundering child

When will I learn to reach out in faith
And help those in need when they pass by my way
God showed me His mercy when I was so lost
Now I must reach out and help His dear cause

Every day we’d see the Lord if we’d look
Every day we can do what he says in His book
Every day we can show grace to meet needs
Every day we must reach out and believe

Have you seen the Lord today?
