New Blog Coming Soon
Hello to all my fellow bloggers. Many of you know that I have been working on a book that is entitled The A.S.K. Principle. I blogged about this topic extensively a few months ago on my other blog site called God’s Maintenance Man. I am now going to bring it back on a separate blog. I’m doing this because the book is now in full swing and is at the editors at this time. The publisher that I’m working through also suggest that I blog about the book to enable everyone to be more informed.
I will be sharing with you thoughts behind the book, how the publishing is progressing and excerpts from the book. There will also be posts about prayer and answered prayers. I pray this will be a blessing to you and will build your faith as we go along.
I have no plan as to what days or how often I will be posting on this site. Most of the posts will probably be simple and not very long so I might update it more often. In any case I hope you will follow alonmn take a closer look at prayer and how it works in our lives.
I thank you for following this bloh.. it is a pleasure to be able to give you what God gives to me in poems. I only speak and write what He tells me to. So I can never tell you how long it will be between posts but the Psalmist blog will continue as is
Be blessed my friends
Beautiful Morn
Did you see the stars last night
Shining so bright
A beautiful sight
Did you hear the birds sweet song
Flying along
To see the dawn
What a beautiful morn has been given
From God a gift of love
What a glorious way to greet us
As we rise and look above
Have you lifted up your voice
Let us rejoice
Let us rejoice
Lift your eyes to se His face
Giving Him praise
Giving Him praise
What a beautiful morn has been given
From God a gift of love
What a glorious way to greet us
As we rise and look above
Wonder of wonders is all around
Beckoning us to see
How much He wants us to live life
Full of grace and peace
What a beautiful morn has been given
From God a gift of love
What a glorious way to greet us
As we rise and look above
Lord of All Creation
Forever I will praise you
I’ll lift my voice to you
I’ll sing your name out loud for all to hear
Every knee shall bow
And every tongue confess
That Jesus Christ is Lord
Lord of all creation
Lord of everything
I will lift my hands in praise
Jesus Lamb of God
Savior of the world
Holy, holy is your name
Earned Freedom
When he came home he was weary
Tired of the jungle’s heat
Tired of the sound of gun shots
Ringing in His ear
He walked onto this soil that day
Hoping a greeting awaits
All he got was shouting
No ceremony played
They gave themselves completely
Getting little in return
Except the pride of knowing
Our freedom they did earn.
Today we honor those who died
To keep our freedom strong
Let’s not forget those veterans
Who suffer their whole lives long
In response to the daily prompt Ceremony
You Won’t Be Late
I wait for you
In the quiet of the night
I wait for you
In the morning’s early light
I wait for you
I wait for you
I wait for you
When my life is getting hard
I wait for you
When don’t feel like your child
I wait for you
I wait for you
Because I know that you are near me
I know you always hear me
When I pray out to you
Because I know that you will answer
I know you are my Savior
I will wait
You won’t be late
I wait for you
Your presence I desire
I wait for you
‘Til the daylight turns to night
I wait for you
I wait for you
You always show up right on time
You bring with you your love divine
The answer comes I know it’s mine
You never will be late
Because I know that you are near me
I know you always hear me
When I pray out to you
Because I know that you will answer
I know you are my Savior
I will wait
You won’t be late
Names Will Fall
Certain people come to mind at certain times of year
Basketball is king right now because the playoffs here
The names of certain players just ring inside our ear
We think of them as stars so big and bright
At other times it’s football, maybe baseball takes the stage
All through the year it seems we gawk at just another page
When our team loses some go wild and fall into a rage
Because their stars did not shine such a light
The news men called them famous and lift them up so high
I just wonder when we all will question them with why
Why should they be famous when in just a few years time
They soon will vanish and their names will fall
The famous one came long ago to take away our sin
Their is no name so mighty as the Son who dwells within
No one will ever reach the height of majesty like Him
Jesus the most famous one of all
In response to the daily prompt Famous
One More of Me
Some days I get so busy
With all the words He gives
The Holy Spirit speaks to me
To let me know I’m His
When I seem to lag behind
In my chores around the house
i wish I had a doppleganger
Just to help me out
He could do the needed things
To make my living sweet
While I take time to listen close
And hear the Master speak
It’s then I’ll hear Him whisper
These little rhymes of mine
Then I will write them down for you
And keep them for all time
In response to the daily prompt Doppelgänger
Little Mercies
The birds sing above
The stars shine their love
The rain is enough
What mercy
The sun rises slow
Then sets down below
In beauty that shows
What mercy
These are the little mercies that come each day
Mercies we miss all the time
Open your eyes
To God only wise
And see that His mercy does shine
The flowers all bloom
The Veggies look good
The trees wave in tune
What mercy
My breath still arrives
There’s light in my eyes
The sounds are alive
What mercy
These are the little mercies that come each day
Even when trials seems to stay
Open your eyes
To God only wise
And see that He loves you always
His mercy is always around you
His love never goes on break
If we will just open our hearts
He’ll show us His mercy again
Look for the little mercies that come each day
They never cease in your life
Open your eyes
To God only wise
Let His mercy help you survive
Touch Jesus Heart
Today we have a well-spring
Of brand new worship songs
It seems that heaven’s opened
For us to sing along
Our countenance is glad
As we raise our voices high
Our hearts in sheer delight
Our hands raise to the sky
I love this age of worship
I love new worship songs
The Lord is good to give me
Many of my own
Now I may seem quite archaic
When I say the old-time hymns
Still reach deep down inside me
And draw me close to Him
The Old Rugged Cross
I Surrender All
Victory In Jesus
My soul these songs call
He Hideth My Soul
To God Be The Glory
Great is Thy Faithfulness
All tell His story
Blessed Assurance
Amazing Grace
Usher me in
To see His face
I know you have others
Quite dear to your heart
Let’s sing old and new
And touch Jesus heart
In response to the daily prompt Archaic
