Worshiping Your Name

Hail to the one who gave His life
Hail to the one who bled and died
Hail to the one who reigns on high
Jesus Christ our Lord

Glory to Him, the sovereign King
Glory to Him for everything
Glory to Him, our praises ring
Jesus Christ our Lord

Lord of heaven, Lord of earth
Who can match your awesome worth
Let us lift our voices high
Worshiping your name

Worthy, oh worthy is your name
Worthy, oh worthy, risen Lamb
Worthy, oh worthy of our praise
Jesus Christ our Lord

Lord of Heaven, Lord of earth
Guide us with your holy word
Let us lift our voices high
Worshiping your name

The Only Way

It seems there’s substitutes
For everything these days
From cracker jacks to table salt
There’s always one more way

But that’s not true with heaven
Jesus is the only way
No replacement can be found
For the price that He did pay

If you’re looking for he answers
And your stuck in middle ground
Juts give your life to Jesus
He’ll turn your life around

Ah, How I Loved The Beatles!

A remember and old song, a favorite of mine
It spoke of warm fuzzies and very  good times
The light melody was a hypnotic rhyme
Life in a yellow submarine

I grew up and realized that dreams are okay
As long as don’t let them rule all  my days
Reality has to be part of my  way
As I travel through this good life

The one thing that most be decided in life
Is whom you will serve when the end is in sight
It’s your choice you see, and you must make it right
Choose Jesus, He’ll answer your dreams

By Your Sweet Grace

When I am lost
When I am lost and all alone
I look to you, and you alone
Hold me close
Precious Lord
To your side, in your arms
You’ll keep me safe in the storm

You are my refuge
You are my fortress
You are my stronghold
When battles rage
You are my comfort
You are my shelter
You are my keeper
By your sweet grace

When I grow weary
When I grow weary in the fight
You give me strength to carry on
Hold me close
Precious Lord
To your side, in your arms
You’ll give me patience ‘til vict’ry’s won

You are my refuge
You are my fortress
You are my stronghold
When battles rage
You are my comfort
You are my shelter
You are my keeper
By your sweet grace

I can depend on you
I can rely on you
I put my trust in you
Everyday
I can depend on you
I can rely on you
I put my trust in you
Everyday

You are my refuge
You are my fortress
You are my stronghold
When battles rage
You are my comfort
You are my shelter
You are my keeper
By your sweet grace

My Heart Cries Out

I’m not sure what this day will bring
Or how it will turn out
I only know what I feel now
And what I think about
It’s early in the morning
The sun has just come out
And though I am still waking up
I feel a coming shout

A shout of praise is welling
Deep down inside my soul
I cannot stop the movement
I love to praise my Lord
This feeling overtakes me
My voice begins to toll
Like a loud and clanging bell
I ring out for my Lord

Hallelujah, Praise His name
Jesus  Christ my King
Hallelujah, He is Lord
He’s my everything
Glory to His holy name
I will shout and sing
Hallelujah, worship Him
Jesus Christ my King

This day would never be complete
If I did not praise His name
I start out in the morning
And praise Him all the day
Then when the sun is setting
My heart will sing His praise
This day will be fulfilling
Because His name was raised

Hallelujah, Praise His name
Jesus  Christ my King
Hallelujah, He is Lord
He’s my everything
Glory to His holy name
I will shout and sing
Hallelujah, worship Him
Jesus Christ my King

Confound he Wise

It’s not that complicated
It doesn’t take a lot
To free yourself  from sin
And make it right with God

In fact, it’s rather simple
And that confounds the wise
All you have to  do is pray
And accept His sacrifice

Once you’ve taken that step
You’re life is right with Him
You can know your heaven bound
And have His peace within

My Way Back

I saw the old man
walk into church that Sunday morn
His clothes were tattered
his skin was worn
I could smell the hardness of life
Three pews away
And I was ready to move
when I heard him pray

I’ve got to find my way back to you
I’ve drifted too far away
Not sure how far I’ve strayed
I’ve got to find my way back to you
Please keep shining your light
into this night
that I’m going thru
He sat alone

no one dared to come near
The music started
he bowed his head
I could see the tears
were running down his face
As we sang Amazing Grace
he looked up and prayed

Dear God
I’m not sure what I need to do
My life is such a big mess
I can’t find any rest
Dear God
please show me what I need to do
To get turned around
and be grounded in you again

I could feel the tears
start running from my eyes
And while the music played on
I moved to his side
I said friend
the Lord has heard your cry
Would you come with me right now
I will help you find your way

As the music
played just as I am
We knelt down
bowed our heads
closed our eyes
and he started to pray

Father forgive me
for the wrongs I have done
I give you my life
I’ll follow your Son
I promise my life
will be yours from now on
Dear Jesus
thank you for my friend

Then he took my hand
and gave a gentle squeeze
A smile as big as heaven
broke his weary, worn face
I know that he’d met Jesus
and I looked up in praise

Lord I thank you
for showing us the way
When we get lost on the path
you keep drawing us back
Lord I thank you
for this new-found friend
Yes he found his way back
all the way back to you

Thank Him

One little, two little, three little lepers
Four  little, five little, six little lepers
Seven little, eight little,, nine little lepers
Ten lepers cleansed by Jesus

One came back to thank Him after
Jesus made him whole thereafter
The lesson here is what we’re after
God deserves our thanks

Thank Him for healing
Thank Him for provision
Thank Him for deliverance
Thank  Him for salvation
Thank Him for everything
Give thanks to Him at all times
And He will make you whole!

Where Is Christ

I see you

Sitting in darkness

Covered by life

Smelly

Dirty

Overtaken in dismay

Disheartened

Defeated

Lost

I wonder

How you got there

What was you’re life

Successful

Happy

Enriched by children

Bright future

Victorious

Alive

Then it all fell apart

Crumbled

Like a house of cards

All gone

Job

Family

Respect

Position

One mistake

All gone

I don’t see

Your need

I blind myself

I shut my mind

I walk on by

Where is Christ

Where is mercy

Where is compassion

Where is love

Christ

Is in you

Calling out

Wanting me to turn

To open the door

To let you in

Christ

Is in me

Begging to act

To touch you

To heal you

To bring peace

Bring joy

I don’t listen

I walk on by

I fail

Help me, Lord

To open my eyes

And my heart

To you.

Harmful Destination

I never would have guessed
That what I thought was best
Was really just a harmful destination
When I looked around
I ultimately found
My life was headed for some devastation

So I listened to  a friend
Cared for where I’d land
He told me I should give my  life to Jesus
I did the very same
And now my  life is tame
I  know that in  His mercy I can trust
