Drawing Near

Do not fear
Do not doubt
God is on your side
Give a cheer
Give a shout
God is drawing near

See His peace
See His joy
God will grant your prayer
Feel His touch
Feel His love
God is drawing near

He’ll never ever leave you
He’ll be right by your side
He’ll free you from your sin
And give to you new life

Lift your hands and praise Him
Lift your voices to the sky
Lift your hearts and worship
Our God, the Lord Most High

What An Amazing God

What an amazing God He is
Gives me mercy undeserved
Instructs me with His living word
What an amazing God
What a wonderful God He is
Loved me when I turned from Him
Sought me out to bring me in
What a wonderful God
There are no words of praise to big
No worship not deserved
I’ll lift my hands and to Him sing
As I declare His worth
What a merciful  God He is
Gave His Son a sacrifice
For my sun and for my life
What a merciful God
There are no words of praise to big
No worship not deserved
I’ll lift my hands and to Him sing
As I declare His worth
More than rubies
More than silver
More than gold is He
More than emeralds
More than diamonds
He is all I need
There are no words of praise to big
No worship not deserved
I’ll lift my hands and to Him sing
As I declare His worth

My Souls’ Provider

If I had all the wealth
This world had to offer
I’d still be a pauper to Him

If I had all possessions
That made my life fun
I’d still lack all He has to give

I had many friends
That surround me each day
It would not compare to His love

If I had a big house
Where I could relax
It would pale to my mansion above

Incredible are His blessings
Marvelous is His love
Amazing is His provision
What He gives is always enough

The Fruit of the Spirit fulfill me
His mercy and grace never cease
As He walks with me every day of my life
I can rest in His wonderful peace

I will lift up His praise forever
I will worship His wonderful name
For He is my souls’ provider
Every day I will give Him my praise

Something New

I heard a tale I’d heard before
When I was just a child
I wondered if it’s truth or lore
Because this time I was wild

It told of one who gave His life
To take away my sins
It said He was my sacrifice
To bring me peace within

When I realized the tale was true
I did not hesitate
To try Him out as something new
Before it was too late

Now I must say He rescued me
From all my guilt and shame
Come to Him and you will see
For you He’ll do the same

It’s Remarkable

I wish I could tell you why He loves me
I have always been so unworthy
I’d try to explain why He set me free
From all my sin and shame

I wish I could tell you why He still cares
When so many times I’m entangled in snares
I stray from His side and get caught unawares
And find myself calling His name

Through all of my trials and all of the tests
He still walks beside me and gives me His rest
I wish I could find the words that say best
How much He does love us so

It’s remarkable
It’s unthinkable
That Jesus would love me so
So magnanimous
He is marvelous
His love reaches down so low
From heaven above to earth below
His love reaches me this I always know
Though I can’t explain it still it is true
That He loves me and He loves you

I can only tell you that it’s real my friend
That His love will stay with you until the end
He is there right beside you to help you win
The trials you face in this life

His love is much deeper than I can explain
So I just continue to give Him my praise
I can’t help but worship His wonderful name
All of the days of my life

It’s remarkable
It’s unthinkable
That Jesus would love me so
So magnanimous
He is marvelous
His love reaches down so low
From heaven above to earth below
His love reaches me this I always know
Though I can’t explain it still it is true
That He loves me and He loves you

Implicit Trust

I trust the Lord
Implicitly
No doubt
No confusion
No wondering

Many times
It’s not a matter of what
Or How
Or Why

It’s a matter of when
The answer will come

It’s in His hand
And on His schedule
Because
He knows what’s best
For me.

So I learn to wait
Wait for healing
Wait for deliverance
Wait for understanding
Wait for Him

And in my waiting
I praise Him
I rejoice
In His mercy
And grace

What an awesome God
I serve
He gives so much
To me
When I lift up
My prayer
He hears me
Yes  He hears me
What an awesome God
I serve

Get A Boost

It won’t make us faster
Or taller or thinner
When we give our hearts to the Lord
It won’t make us stronger
Or better or purer
To start to rely on His word

But He promises us
He will quicken our bodies
That means we will be more alive
Most days I need a good
Boost to my spirit
So I’m glad to give Him my life

Friend To All

I looked up at the Lord
And He saw me
He saw my pain
And misery
He brought me out
And set me free
What a Savior
What a friend

I cried unto the Lord
He heard my plea
Then He came
And rescued me
He’s always near
Where I will be
What a Savior
What a friend

Savior of the world He is
Crowned with love and righteousness
Friend to all who call His name
I will always sing His praise

I waited for my Lord
To strengthen me
As I lift up
My prayer of need
Until the answer
I would see
What a Savior
What a friend

Savior of the world He is
Crowned with love and righteousness
Friend to all who call His name
I will always sing His praise

Merciful to me, so merciful
Loving me despite my sins
His grace is given out
His love is without doubt
He’s always there to help me win

Savior of the world He is
Crowned with love and righteousness
Friend to all who call His name
I will always sing His praise
Friend to all who call His name
I will always sing His praise

Quiet Ruled The Nght

Sometime in the night
I heard Him call my name
Quietly whispering His sweet words to me
I waited for His words
Yearning for His voice
Hoping He would tell me what would be

But quiet ruled the night
He did not speak again
I tried to recall what my Lord had said
His whisper was so faint
And I was half awake
I wasn’t sure what words were in my head

I took up pen and paper
And started to write down
Hoping it would spark my memory
But once I got the story down
Of how He woke me up
There was no more to write that I could see

I realized I’d missed it
I waited much to long
To write the words my Lord had said too me
I pondered getting up
To write what He had said
And once I took the pen the words did flee

A sadness filled my heart
As I lay back down to sleep
I knew that I had missed His word this time
I promise Him the next time
He starts to speak to me
I’ll quickly rise and write down every line.

If you’re awakened in the night
By the still small voice of God
Make sure you have a pen and paper near
You never know what He may say
Or what words will speak to you
Just open up your heart and lend an ear

The Narrow Gate

Not to the left
Not to the right
Will I find your way, oh Lord
Right down the middle
I’ll center my life
On the straight and narrow path

For wide is the gate
And broad the path
That leads to destruction down here
Narrow the gate
And straight the path
That leads to my heavenly home
