Alleviate The Ruckus

I thought it was convenient
That the officer was lenient
When he stopped me for a tail light out that day
I didn’t think they’d hurt me
When the lights came on behind me
Because I hadn’t done a thing that was astray

But I know that there are some
Who would worry much and run
If those lights came on behind them unaware
Because in our world today
There are many who would say
That a prejudice exists that means to scare

It is my prognosis
That we need symbiosis
To alleviate the ruckus going on
Let’s all work together
To make our world run better
Where all are treated fairly all day long

I Need You, Lord

I need you, Lord

In the morning
When I awake
Before the sun comes up
I need you

You give me air to breath
You give the light for sight
You give the sounds of spring
As bird’s sing
I need you, Lord

I need you, Lord

I the midst of the day
When the world is all around
Trouble presents itself
Temptation lurks in corners
I need you

You light my path with your word
You remind me of your great love
You keep me safe in the storm
In your arms
I need you, Lord

I need you, Lord

At the end of the day
When sleep is knocking
My tired body needs rest
From all the day’s events
I need you

You calm my soul so I can sleep
You reassure me of your grace
You lay me down with your peace
And mercy
I need you, Lord

Not a moment goes by
A second or minute
That I do not need you, Lord
What a wonderful thing
To know you are near
Whenever I need you, Lord

Surviving The Tempest

I’ll weather the storm
Because you own the weather
You send the wind and the rain
So when dark clouds roll
And life seems too dreary
I’ll know you control the day

I’ll survive the tempest
For you own the sea
The wind and waves obey
So when I’m adrift
And I think I might drown
I’ll know you will guide my way

There’s nothing can come my way
That you do not rule the day
I trust you alone
Through all of life’s storms
I know you will guide my way

I’ll get through this trial
For you are my guide
You urge me to keep going on
So when hard times come
And I’m ready to quit
I know that you’ve just begun

There’s no situation
No storm and no sea
That can ever topple this ship
For you hold me up
When I think I’ll fall
I daily depend on your grip

There’s nothing can come my way
That you do not rule the day
I trust you alone
Through all of life’s storms
I know you will guide my way

My Heart Sings

I’ve sought after riches, wealth and fame
I’ve done what I could  to bolster my name
I’ve traveled to places and then back again
I’ve lived a life full of good things

Then I looked at what I had come to possess
And I realized all this was meaningless
Because in the end, my life was a mess
The result of this life would sting

For I had neglected my soul in all this
I decided to give up the life I thought bliss
And give my life to the Saviors sweet kiss
He came and made my heart sing

If you’re in a circle of meaningless life
Why not come in to the Saviors sweet side
And in Him forever you can abide
Safely in love with the King

Sheltering Wing

I look to the Lord for answers
When questions are all that I have
I look to the Lord for direction
When may path has taken a curve

I look to the Lord for healing
When my health has been not so good
I look to the Lord for wisdom
When I know I’ve been misunderstood

He says peace
Come into me and find peace
All that you look for you’ll find
Under my sheltering wing
Peace
Don’t let your worry arise
Tomorrow is in my hand
Grace will always apply
And bring peace

I look to the Lord for patience
When the answers are taking to long
I look to the Lord for His strength
When all of my strength is gone

I look to the Lord for provision
When there seems to be lack in my house
I look to the Lord for all my needs
For He is my ultimate source

He is always right there
Giving ear to my prayer
He inclines to me each time I speak
His answers will come
When His timing is done
He will bring me the needs that I seek

Until then
He says peace
Come into me and find peace
All that you look for you’ll find
Under my sheltering wing
Peace
Don’t let your worry arise
Tomorrow is in my hand
Grace will always apply
And bring peace

Wonderful You Are

I lift my heart
I lift my hands
I lift my eyes
In praise to you

I lift my voice
I lift my words
I lift my song
In praise to you

I lift your name
Above all names
I lift my praise
And worship you
Jesus, wonderful you are

Wonderful, oh so wonderful
Jesus Lamb of God
Came to save the world
Wonderful, you are wonderful
What a friend I have in you

Extraordinary

What exactly does it mean
To be called ordinary
In this world of so much change
We all seem quite contrary

In the name of politics
We push diversity
And tolerance for anything
Just seems to be the key

For me I would just like to be
A simple man by trade
One who follows Bible ways
Giving praise to Jesus name

When hard times come as the always do
And people look to me
I hope they see the power of God
Extraordinary

And they can known without a doubt
That when I pray for them
The power of God will touch their lives
Because I follow Him

Always

I asked the Lord to bless me
He said I always do
I asked Him if He’d heal me
He said it’s done for you
I asked the Lord to give me peace
He said I left it long ago
I asked Him to fill me with joy
He said it always flows
Always He is there
Always taking care
Meeting every need
Doing righteous deeds
Building up my faith
Answers never late
He is always there for me
I asked the Lord to build my faith
He said to read His word
I asked Him for a hope that lasts
He said I could be sure
Whatever thing I asked of Him
He said it’s been supplied
All things were given on that day
When Christ was crucified
There’s no more sacrifice for sin
The work has all be done
Now I just have to live the word
And victory is mine
Always He is there
Always taking care
Meeting every need
Doing righteous deeds
Building up my faith
Answers never late
He is always there for me

What Are Yours?

We pay it little attention
We hardly know it’s there
We go through life so blindly
And most of us don’t care

When we’re young we learn to say no
And push the limits of all
As we grow our pride takes center stage
And our own way is our call

We strive for worldly riches
And we thing we know all things
There’s nothing that can teach us
Of a better way to live

My friends this is the symptom
Of the sin that’s born in all
From Adam’s seed it entered
And caused us all to fall

But Jesus paid redemption’s price
To take our sin away
Won’t you accept Him as your Lord
And save your soul today?

Praise Rises Up

I can feel a praise is rising up
When I think about what Jesus did for me
He captured victory
From the hand of sure defeat
His sacrifice became what set me free

The praise within me bubbles to the top
As the story has an ending full of hope
He was buried since He died
In three days from death He’d rise
He returned to heaven which I can now call home

Praise Rises Up
Within my Spirit man
My voice lifts high His name
As I praise the Lord again
Worthy are you Lord
Of the praises of my heart
I’ll sing my Hallelujahs
To your name

I can’t contain the joy He brings
That’s why my mouth must shout and sing
He’s worthy of my praise
I’ll lift His name all day
An offering of praise I humbly bring

Praise Rises Up
When I think of what He did
He gave His life for me
In freedom I can live
Worthy are you Lord
Of the praises of my heart
I’ll sing my hallelujahs
To your name

The wonderful name of Jesus
The matchless name of Jesus
The merciful name of Jesus
The precious name of Jesus
The delivering name of Jesus
The providing name of Jesus
The marvelous name of Jesus
No other name like His

Praise Rises Up
Within me every day
When I think about His love
And the price He had to pay
Worthy are you Lord
Of the praises of my heart
I’ll sing my hallelujahs
To your name
