He Is With Me

He was with Abraham on his journey
He was with Jacob in the night
He was with Joseph in the prison
With Joshua in the fight

He was with Samuel when he whispered
He was with David against a giant
He was with Daniel giving visions
And in the den against the lion

He is with me. He is with me. Every hour of every day
He is with me. He is with me as my guide to show the way
He is with me giving strength. He is with me in His power
I know that I have Jesus. He is with me

He is with me showing mercy
He is with me showing grace
He is with me in my battles
He is with me when I pray

I can walk with great assurance
In the middle of the storm
Because I know the one who calms the sea
I can pray with expectation
That each prayer will be heard
His word says when I pray He’ll answer me

Don’t spend one more day without Him
Don’t spend one more hour without Him
Give it all. Give it all to Jesus

I can trust Him in every storm, in every test, in every trial and in every way. There is nothing that can separate me from His love. Not fire, not flood, not height or depth. No mountain or valley or strange event. When I come to Him, he will meet me where I am. If I am in sin, he will forgive me if I ask. If I am struggling he will pick me up and help me along. If I am crying he will dry my ears and comfort me. If I am troubled, he will say peace be still. There is nothing in life greater than knowing Jesus is right there loving me every minute of every day. What a joy it is to serve Him with all my heart and soul and mind and strength.

This is an old song I wrote from 2012. I felt the Holy Spirit telling me to post it this morning. I pray it blesses you.

My life is filled with ups and downs trying to find my way around
In a world that keeps me guessing everyday
And when I pray I just don’t know if the answer’s coming slow
Or if he’s showing me his plan another way.

He leads me into the wilderness from the mountaintop
He rows me into the storm then he calms the sea
I don’t need to know where he’s leading me or what he’s going to do
For I know that all he does is for my good

I was wandering in the valley of despair
With no hope in sight
Could not see the light
I tried to look up but could not lift my head

Feeling all alone

Walk With Me

I stepped out of the path
That God had planned for me
Every day I found myself
In a place I should not be

I tried to turn and fix my course
But could not find the way
Ready to give up I wept
Then I heard Jesus say

Walk with me my son
I’ll show you the way
You cannot do this on your own
I’ll give you the strength
I’ll hold your hand on every step
Pick you up when you fall
Walk with me through every storm
Fulfill your heavenly call

When I heard His voice I wept
Peace came over me
I knew that it would be all right
He would carry me

I found myself back on the path
That God had led me to
My hope is in the Lord alone
His will now I will do

“For you alone, oh Lord, make me dwell in safety” Psalm 4:8:

Safety from the ravages of sin
Safety from the error of my ways,
Safety from the darkness within
Safety from the troubles of my days
Safety from the tempters luring voice
Safety from the storms in the night
Safety from the world and all it’s noise
Safety from the things that block the light

You, Lord make me dwell there.
Safe from all danger
Safe from all harm.
Safe from myself when I wander away.
Safe from the thief who would hinder my way.
Safe from the wiles that satan employs.
Safe from His trials that would steal my joy
Safe from confusion that takes away peace
Safe from the tempter who tries to appease
Safe from the things that would steal all my praise
Safe in the arms of the Lord of all grace
Safe in the mercy that He does bestow
Safe in the love that He brought here below

I am set apart by the Lord
And He hears my prayers
He has put gladness in my heart
He makes me lie down in peace

And keeps me safe

His Glorious Light

Peeking through the darkness
Piercing through the night
Into all my sorrows
Comes his glorious light

Overcoming failures
Showing me the way
His light makes me victorious
Each and every day

His light shines all around me
His light will give me strength
To overcome the battles
Then Guide me on the way

I love the light of Jesus
I love his saving grace
I cannot wait to see him
To look upon his face

When this life overtakes me
And I feel weighted down
My hope remains in Jesus
For He’s my solid ground

Where would I be if it were not for you, Lord
Taking my sins away
Life would be such w waste if I had not called out
For you to save me that day

I was drowning in sorrow and doubt filled my mind
My future was filled with despair
I know that I would have been dead by now
If you had not heard my prayer

Because on that day I finally saw
The mess I had made of my life
I had heard that If I would just cry out to you
You would steer my course right

It took all I had to search deep within
The sight of my soul was so bleak
I knew that I needed a miracle touch
Your cleansing I started to seek

I prayed on that day for you to some in
And forgive all of my sins
You not only did that but gave even more
As your grace filled my heart within

Now I can truly say you are my Lord
My Savior, my God and my friend
I’ll follow your path and welcome your plan
Until my very end

I lived without God for years
Was filled with worry and fear
I could not figure out
Why I had such doubt
So I wandered through life in tears

I knew day by day He was calling
He tried to prevent me from falling
Then one day I bowed
And I made a vow
That I’d put an end to my stalling

Every second I need Him
Every minute I call Him
Every day I will lift up my praise
Every month I am His
Every year close to Him
Forever I’ll worship His name

Now I don’t go a minute without Him
For I know that through Him I will win
He is my strength
My joy He sustains
In peace He is always within

His Plan Is For Me

Why should I worry
Why should I fret
When I know God is in control
There is no trial
Or test in this world
That God cannot save me from

Why would I falter
Why would I fear
When the enemy comes at me
I have the strength
Of Jesus Christ
And He has a plan for me

His plan is victory
His plan is peace
His plan is perfect
His plan is for me
His plan will take me
To blessings untold
I want to follow His plan

In Him is mercy
In Him is grace
In Him I cannot go wrong
He will protect me
Watch over me
He makes my weakness strong

I pray I will walk
Daily with Him
Not leaving His precious side
I’ll never turn back
I’ll follow His ways
All the days of my life
