God Is Watching

When I woke up this morning I was hurt
By the things I was thinking at first
People hiding in sin
From the God who loved them
Yet, I saw Him watching

Crossing a street without looking
Like they were the kings of everything
Danger around them left and right
But they did not have a care for life
And I saw God watching

He watched them with love
He watched them with care
They did not seem to know He was there
He watched them with patience and grace
Hoping they’d open their eyes
And see His loving hand was always there

Then I started to speak of His love
How He left His great throne above
How He died on that tree
Just to set us all free
I watched as they called on His name

They started weeping
They started moaning
They started speaking His name
I saw demons fleeing
I knew they were seeing
The love that God had displayed

They knew that He was right there

He gave them His grace
Because they opened their eyes

And whisper of His love in my ear
