Living in the Lord

I used to run and hide when the devil came at me
He seemed so big and strong and His countenance was mean
But now I stand and say Satan get behind me
I know who I am I’m a child of the King

I used to fear and tremble when trials came my way
I thought they’d overwhelm me and carry me away
But now I stand and say I will take the trial today
I know that these troubles will only build my faith

Living in the Lord is so rewarding
Living in the vine gives life to me
I’ll never leave His side
In me His word abides
No longer will I fear the enemy

I used to be a child that would lose his joy and peace
Whenever I was troubled by my worldly enemies
But now I stand and say that my soul will stay at ease
I know the Holy Spirit will always be with me

No longer will I doubt
No longer will I fear
No longer will I run
No longer shed a tear
No longer will the enemy
Have a grip on me
I’ll call the name of Jesus
To repel the enemy

Living in the Lord is so rewarding
Living in the vine gives life to me

In me His word abides

The day is coming soon my friend for Jesus to appear
I pray that you are ready for the time is very near
Today you have a choice to make that will affect your days
Once this life is all over and eternity awaits

If you do not accept the Lord and what He did for you
When He died on the cross and saved your soul so long ago
Then you will meet a fiery lake where worms and moth corrupt
Your thirst will never cease and your soul will cry enough

But days will never end and the torment will increase
The fury of our enemy on you will be unleashed
His dark domain is full of hate and evil all the time
Your soul will wallow in that pain until the end of time

But if you’ve asked the Lord of Lords to come into your heart
And if you’ve made the choice to let Him give you a new start
You are a new creation and the old many passed away
You will go straight to heaven when He returns that day

The pearly gates await you and you’ll walk on streets of gold
There will be no pain or tears or sorrows that you’’ll hold
We’ll see all of our friends who have made Jesus their choice
We all will be rejoicing with one heart and voice

Please make today the day that you make Jesus Lord
Ask Him to forgive your sins and save your sinful soul
Bow before His throne and honor Him as King of Kings
Then He will give you heaven and your heart will gladly sing

Holy holy are you Lord you are my souls delight
Power strength and glory be to you who sits on high
Hosanna in the highest you’re the Lamb upon the throne
Forever I will sing my praise to Jesus Christ my Lord

I heard a bell this morning
It sounded out aloud
And then I saw an angel
Descending in a cloud

He said my name is Gabriel
I come to bring you news
Jesus Christ the Son of God
Is coming back real soon

He will come here suddenly
No warning will be given
In one blink of an eye His children
Will join Him in heaven

From this day forward rest assured
The time is coming near
So let your voice give witness
For all the world to hear

They must all confess their sins
And turn from their foul ways
They must accept Him as their Lord
And do good all their days

A trumpet sounded loud and clear
Then Gabriel spoke these words of cheer
May peace and joy rule all in your heart
And from His grace do not depart

With that He vanished in the air
The clouds he came in disappeared
I bowed my head and said a prayer
That I’d be faithful to declare
The King is coming soon my friend
Make sure your heart is right with Him

He’ll Hear My Prayers

Over and over and over again
I try to find peace in this world of pain
I look all around and what do I see
But the devil surrounding and hindering me

He snorts and he glares to make me fear
He brings me more troubles than I can bear
And just when I feel he is making me doubt
I dry out to Jesus and He pulls me out

There’s nothing the devil can do to me
That Jesus won’t fix and give me peace
If I’ll just come to Him down on my knees
He’ll hear my prayers every time

That old enemy just keeps coming back
Hoping my faith is broken and lax
But I have a surprise waiting for him
Jesus has built up my strength within

He raises up His Holy Spirit
Then I feel a surge of powerful word
Get thee behind me you scrawny old beast
I live with Jesus and he has you beat

There’s nothing the devil can do to me
That Jesus won’t fix and give me peace
If I’ll just come to Him down on my knees
He’ll hear my prayers every time

This my resolution
To lift His name on high
In everything I do
In everything I write

May He be magnified
And glorified this day
Jesus Christ my Lord

If I Were a King

If I was a king I would make a decree
That all of my kingdom would bow down to me
The all would be servants to meet all my needs
If I was a king on this earth

If I was a king I would have all the riches
The crops and the flocks and all of my wishes
I’d make sure that all would fulfill my petitions
If I were a king on this earth

If I was a king all power would be mine
All things would be subject to my chosen time
I would not allow anyone to decline
If I were the king on this earth

If I were a king I’d fulfill all my lusts
Nothing would be kept from me or my trust
All of my kingdom would mind me or bust
If I were a king on this earth

But Jesus came not as this type of king
Yet He was the highest King of all Kings
He came not demanding I do anything
Yet He was the King of heaven

Jesus was born as a babe in the hay
He walked on this earthy with meekness and grace
He gave up His life and took on my place
Yet he was the King of heaven

This great King of Kings and Lord of Lords
Only came to give His live on the cross
Not to rule and reign while here on this earth
But to give His life away

He was humble and meek, mild and kind
He showed love and compassion to all of mankind
What a lesson He showed us in so little time
A sacrifice of love

So let us not be a burden to others
Let us show grace and love to each other
It’s time to display His love to our brother
So we will join Him in heaven

It’s Christmas Day

It’s a day of great excitement
It’s a day of warmth and mirth
It’s a day of friends and family
It’s Christmas Day

It’s a day to exchange presents
It’s a day to have a feast
It’s a day share an eggnog
It’s Christmas Day

It’s a day we all year long for
It’s a day we hope for snow
It’s a day of favorite music
It’s Christmas Day

But more than all these wonderful things
More than almost anything
It’s a day that we all celebrate
The birthday of the King

For Jesus came to earth this day
In a lowly manger He did lay
He came to take our sins away
On this Christmas Day

Let’s all make sure we celebrate
The birthday of our Savior great
Who came to die in our place
On this Christmas Day
