Under Your Wings

I am not worthy but you make me worthy
I am not strong but you give me your strength
I am not rich but you bless me with riches
I am in chains but you set me free

What a wonderful God you are to me
Your love is a marvelous thing
You shower your grace on me every day
And shelter me under your wings

I am not wise but you give me wisdom
I have no power but you honor my prayers
I am a sinner but you make me holy
I am a servant but you make me a king

What a merciful God you are to me
You have taken my sins away
Even though I rejected and mocked your name
You forgive me day after day

You've given me a wonderful gift
The gift of eternal life
And all I can give to you in return

I exalt you Lord.
I lift up your name with my whole heart.
I honor you with my first words every morning
And until my last breath at night.
You watch over me from on high.
You keep me safe in times of trouble.
You provide my every need.
You bring me help when I am wear
And strength when I am weak.
I look to your word to guide m
And I trust your Holy Spirit to show me which way to turn. 
He keeps me safe from all harm.
Thank you Lord for looking over me.
Thank you Lord for looking over my family.
Thank you Lord for looking over my grandchildren.
Thank you Lord for abundant blessing a friends.
May I continually lift your name on high
And make my presence known to those around me.
May I never be shy or bashful about my faith.

The House of Worship

The house of worship 
Is a place 
That I hold very dear
The time I spend
Inside those walls
Bring me to God so near

The music starts 
To play the tunes
Of His amazing grace 
And soon our praise
Is lifted high
Filling up the place

Let’s go to the house of worship 
Let's sing with hands up raised 
Let's sing our Hallelujahs 
Let's give Jesus our praise

Our praises ring out
Higher still
I feel the Spirit come
He floods on in
To touch the saints 
Who sing the worship songs 

His presence there
Is oh so sweet
He reaches deep within
To comfort all
Brings healing too 
And eases suffering 

Let’s go to the house of worship 
Let's sing with hands up raised 
Let's sing our Hallelujahs 
Let's give Jesus our praise

What a mighty God we serve
He comes into our midst 
He so desires our highest praise
I'll always do my best
To worship Him with all my heart 
My mind my soul my strength 
I'll raise my voice to heaven 
To honor His great name

I bow at your feet
My Lord and my Savior
You make me complete
You give me your favor
There’s never a day
That I can’t depend
On your mercy and grace
To carry me through

There are days that I wander
Away from you Lord
My path just meanders
To places unknown
Yet you search me out
And you bring me back home
So then once again
I can rest in your arms

You love me so much
Every day of my life
I don’t deserve such
A love so divine
You keep bringing me back
When my path goes astray
Your grace comes a calling
To show e the way

So, I bow at your feet
My Savior and Lord
You always pursue me
With your loving heart
There’s never a day
That I can’t depend
On your mercy and grace
To carry me through

The Eye of the Sky

It dawns on creation
I watch 
As wispy clouds 
Dust the pre-dawn sky
With grey

Suddenly 
A splash of pink
Announces an expected event

The pink turns
Into soft yellow 
And gold begins to gild
The clouds

Brilliant gold 
Encasing several yellow shapes 
While bright red
And orange 
Spread to clouds 
Seemingly a distant 
Ways off

Now the gilding subsides 
Light starts to illuminate
The sky
And the eye 
Of the sky
Starts creeping high

Brighter 
And brighter
Welcoming
The new day

Many Blessings

I think about the fact
That Jesus loves me so
And it seems my love for Him 
Just grows and grows and grows

My heart will sing His praises
Every single day
As I count the many blessings
That He has sent my way

He died for me so long ago
To take away my sin
He walks with me from day to day
Gives me peace and joy within

His Holy Spirit comforts me
Whenever I am down
I know that I can trust in Him
To keep me safe and sound

I lift my praise to Jesus
For the blessings in my life
I will worship Him forever
I will lift His name on high

He brought me to my wife
A thousand miles away
He put a love within me
That still is strong today

Three children blessed our marriage
Five grandchildren too
They share their love for us
In everything they do	

He’s blessed me with good work
And friends that bolster me
And helps me be a blessing
To others in their needs

I lift my praise to Jesus
For the blessings in my life
I will worship Him forever
I will lift His name on high

I have many Christian friends
Who will listen when I talk
And the pastors in my life
Have helped me in my walk

But more than anything
I’m blessed with His sweet grace
And His mercy overwhelms me
Oh, I long to see His face

I lift my praise to Jesus
For the blessings in my life
I will worship Him forever
I will lift His name on high

For My Sin

Brought before the judgment hall
Though He just did good
Persecuted false was He
Condemned for my sin

Beaten within one last breath
Wore a crown of thorns
Spit and kicked upon was He
Bruised for all my sin

Carried His own cross of death
Fell beneath it's weight
Nailed through hands and feet was He
Suffered for my sin

Given vinegar to drink
Sword pierced through His side
Hanging there for me was He
Dying for my sin

High and lifted up was He
High above the ground
Hanging on a cross was He
Taking all my sin

He gave His own life away
To purchase life for me
Placed in borrowed tomb was He
Buried for my sin.

I will lift my voice to Him
And give Him all my praise
For He did all of this for me
I will praise His name
