Give Me The Valley

Give me the valley
The bountiful valley
Where rivers roam
The animals home
I love the valley
The wonderful valley
It’s life in the valley for me
The mountain top
Is a beautiful place
Storm clouds below me
Clear sky is all I see
Peaceful and calm
I feel no alarm
It seems like the place to be
The mountain top
High above problems
High above trouble
Seems closer to God
But I look around
And see nothing growing
Just rocks and blue sky
On the mountain top
Down in the valley
Life is abundant
Flowers are blooming
Songbirds are singing
Rivers are flowing
Everything’s growing
Give me the valley
The deep, lonely valley
Where I can be growing too
Our tendency is
To look for the high spot
Above all our problems
And trials of life
But growth occurs
When I walk in the valley
Where there’s nowhere
To go but up.
Give me the valley
The bountiful valley
Where rivers roam
The animals home
I love the valley
The wonderful valley
It’s life in the valley for me

The Devil’s Mean Band

The devil met God aone day long ago
Said I’ll fight your Son nd His blood will flow
God said go ahead I’ll send Hiin to earth
Just give Him some time to show them His worth

The devil agreed on thirty three years
The parley thus ended the demons all cheered
When Jesus had finished the time that was planned
He turned Himself over to the devil’s mean band

They beat Him and whipped Him and crowned Him with thorns
He carried His cross His flesh was all torn
Nails were then put in His hands and His feet
The devil cried victory  Jesus died, sure defeat

But three days later He arose from the grave
The devil was doomed Jesus sealed his fate
God just smiled big as His Son now came home
He knew all along His side had won

When I gave my life to Jesus

Shame about my sin
Shame about the words of my lips
Shame about who I have hurt

Free
Free from guilt
Guilt about who I have hurt
Guilt about my sinful past
Guilt about a wasted life

When I gave my life to Jesus

Free
Free from worry
Worry about the provisions of life
Worry about who might hurt me
Worry about where I will find happiness

Now I am free
Free to have joy
Free to have peace
Free to have hope
Free to have His love

When I gave my life to Jesus

Then Came Twenty-Four

When I was a baby
All I’d ever want
Was love, sleep, food
And a dry diaper.

When I was just 10
The things that I craved
Were adventure, junk food
And time with my friends

When I was twenty
I was all messed up
Lived on drugs, booze
Sex and little sleep

But then came twenty-four
A big change in my life
I learned of Jesus Christ
And His stunning sacrifice

Ever since that day
My desire’s been
To love Him with my all
And love my fellow man.

There’s nothing to hard
Nothing impossible
Nothing my God can’t do
Mountains can move
Rivers can stop
So He can guide you through
No sickness can stay
Disease must obey
When God sets His mind on you
All enemies flee
When my God speaks
His words are power and truth
Lift up His name
Give our God praise
Worship His holy name
Jesus our Lord
King evermore
Worthy of all our praise
When my prayers go up
To His throne above
His answer is on the way
Just wait on the Lord
His timing is sure
There’s blessing in every delay
When fear fills your heart
And doubt gets a start
That God may not hear your request
Just turn to His word
And know that He heard
He’ll give you His absolute best

When Jesus had died
On the cross crucified
A large stone was sealed for the door
The stone rolled away
That marvelous day
Now He lives forevermore

No Worries

I never have to worry
If you are here with me
Because your word tells
That’s where you’ll always be

I never have to worry
If you will hear my prayer
Because you word s true
When you say you’ll lend an ear

The world may think it’s silly
For me to have such faith
But I will just ignore them
And praise you all the way

I never have to worry
If you will strengthen me
When the trials come my way
Your strength is all I need

I never have to worry
If you will be on time
Your answer will come when
And however you decide

The world thinks I am crazy
To trust you all the way
But you have never failed me
No, not any single day

I think it’s ’cause I praise you
From morning until night
life my voice in worship
You make all things right

And when I sing your prayers
My worries disappear
You come and fill my spirit
With words of peace and cheer

So I will go on praising you
Every moment, every day
And all my doubt and worry
Will swiftly fade away

Drawing Near

Give a cheer

See His peace
See His joy
God will grant your prayer
Feel His touch
Feel His love

He’ll never ever leave you
He’ll be right by your side
He’ll free you from your sin
And give to you new life

Lift your hands and praise Him
Lift your voices to the sky
Lift your hearts and worship

What an amazing God He is
Gives me mercy undeserved
Instructs me with His living word
What an amazing God
What a wonderful God He is
Loved me when I turned from Him
Sought me out to bring me in

No worship not deserved

As I declare His worth

Gave His Son a sacrifice

If I had all the wealth
This world had to offer
I’d still be a pauper to Him

If I had all possessions
That made my life fun
I’d still lack all He has to give

I had many friends
That surround me each day
It would not compare to His love

If I had a big house
Where I could relax
It would pale to my mansion above

Incredible are His blessings
Marvelous is His love
Amazing is His provision
What He gives is always enough

The Fruit of the Spirit fulfill me
His mercy and grace never cease
As He walks with me every day of my life
I can rest in His wonderful peace

I will lift up His praise forever
I will worship His wonderful name
For He is my souls’ provider
Every day I will give Him my praise

Something New

I heard a tale I’d heard before
When I was just a child
I wondered if it’s truth or lore
Because this time I was wild

It told of one who gave His life
To take away my sins
It said He was my sacrifice
To bring me peace within

When I realized the tale was true
I did not hesitate
To try Him out as something new
Before it was too late

Now I must say He rescued me
From all my guilt and shame
Come to Him and you will see
