Trusting Jesus

When my joy turns into sorrow
Under burdens that arise
Days of worry come upon me
As a tear forms in my eye
Sadness could come overwhelm me
If I let these thoughts go on
But I’ve learned to seek my Savior
When my troubles are prolonged

When my peace has been disrupted
Turmoil starts to swirl around
My mind wanders out of wanting
To find rest from troub’ling sounds
Doubt could eas’ly overtake me
If I let these thoughts go on
But I’ve learned to trust my Savior
He will keep me from all harm

Trusting Jesus in my trials
Trusting Jesus in my doubts
Trusting Jesus when I worry
He will turn my life about
When the hard times come upon me
There’s no reason to get down
I have learned to trust in Jesus
Jesus makes my life abound

When I start to doubt His wisdom
My life seems to be off track
I can’t seem to find the answer
To the questions that I ask
Storms of life are gathered ‘round me
Whirlwinds howling in my ear
I have learned to trust in Jesus
In the midst of all my fears

Trusting Jesus in the thunder
Trusting Jesus in the rain
Trusting Jesus when I cannot find
My way back home again
He is always watching over me
He is always by my side
I can rest with calm assurance
When in Jesus I abide

I will trust Him

Even in the darkest storm
I’ll stand upon His word
I will trust Him

I was walking on the beach
In a dream I had last night
Soft sand under my feet
As the waves crashed in
Incessantly

Then I heard the spirit speak to me
With the still small voice of God
“Hear the waves praise my name?
Hear them never cease to shout?
Loud and free.”

Then I traveled in my dream
To a meadow lined with trees
Just before the day dawned
As the birds chirp in glee
Unceasingly

Then I heard the spirit speak to me
With the still small voice of God
“Hear the birds praise my name?
Hear them fill the air with song?
So beautifully.”

Nature sings my praise all day
From wind to rain to streams
I long to hear the voice of man
Joining in their song

My crowning achievement
I gave him all of this
All of nature is at his disposal
All he needs is provided
Just like the birds and beasts
Just like the flowers and trees
Yet man does not praise me
But mocks me, scorns me, blames me

All I do is love him
I gave my son to set him free
I gave the spirit to guide him
Yet he chooses to remain lost
To remain by himself
Trying to figure life out
Trying to make it on his owns
Turning to things unknown
Harmful things, deadly things

Oh, man, turn to me
Lift up my name
Sing aloud my praise
I will lift you up
I will set you free
I will guide you through this world
Because I love you
I always have
I always will

Join natures praise
Join the thankful chorus
Sing Hallelujah

Greatness out of this Great Mess

Riddled with cancer
Shoulder just quits
Neuropathy covers my feet
Two stem cell transplants
Weakness ensues
God will make some greatness out of this great mess

Jesus the master healer
He supplies all the strength that I need
I fill all my days
With words of His praise
As His healing starts working in me

First I walked with a walker
A cane followed closely behind
I walked just a block at a time
But my drive just kept up
With my faith in my Lord
Now a mile a day isn’t long

My shoulder would not move at all
The doctors could not understand
They said maybe never would heal
Movement came in ten months
Therapy started at once
Now full range of motion is here

Jesus the master healer
He supplies all the strength that I need
I fill all my days
With words of His praise
As His healing starts working in me

God will make some greatness
Out of this great mess
Cancer is no longer found
I’m healed from above
With doctors involved
In the therapy of Jesus love

Now I lay me down to sleep
I know my Lord is close to me
If I should wake before I die
I’ll lift my voice up to the sky

His praises will I lift so high
To waft up to where He resides
Upon the throne as King of Kings
He is my all, my everything

He is my joy when sorrow comes
He is my peace amid the storms
He is my refuge from all foes
He is my calm in midst of woes

He is my hope when hope seems gone
He is my strength when I’m not strong
He is my healer when my health fades
He is my guide to light my way

There’s so much more He is to me
His blessings fall abundantly
I will gladly shout and sing
He is my all, my everything

Now I must rest my weary head
I lay it down upon my bed
I’ll dream about my Lord and King

Our Guide in the Night

There’s a light at the end of the tunnel
It shines like a star far away
As I walk through this valley of sickness
The light helps me find my way

I know He has promised me healing
That the stripes on His back paid the price
I am waiting to see
That healing in me
As I walk through the trial of this life

Glory to God in the Highest
Who gave us His son Jesus Christ
I will lift up that name
That wonderful name
He’s the Light that guides in the night

We all have a tunnel to go through
At some moment in each of our lives
His promise is that He’ll be with us
Through the low times as well as the highs

He said He will leave His peace with us
He gave us abundant joy
In the midst of the storm
I won’t be alarmed
I know Jesus is right by my side

Glory to God in the Highest
Who gave us His son Jesus Christ
I will lift up that name
That wonderful name
He’s the Light that guides in the night

I’m enjoying my life on this journey
With a peace in the depth of my soul
For I know that my Savior is with me
Everywhere I go

When the trials of life overtake me
I can still keep His joy in my heart
For I know that the spirit will guide me

What a wonderful Savior, a glorious Lord
That would take of His time to be with me
Oh What grace He bestows and His mercy abounds
Every day that I’m on this journey

When I come to the end of my journey
I’m assured that I’ll be close to Him
For I know that He’ll travel beside me
Everywhere I go

When I walk with Him
All my troubles seem small

There’s a peace that endures
And a joy that’s sublime
So wherever I go
He walks right beside

Gently laying on my bed
Pillow nestling weary head
By His hand He wisely led
All the day long

Closing tired eyes to sleep
Falling into night so deep
Knowing He my soul did keep
All the day long

Sun awakens as I rise
Looking to the eastern skies
He will brighten waking eyes

Hours are filled with things to do
Giving joy to me and you
He has plans forever new

Constantly amazed by grace
Looking for His loving face
Lifting up my voice in praise

What a Savior what a King
Walks with me through everything
He deserves the praise I sing
