From my Chair

I sit here thinking what to do
In early morning hours
I’ve been awake for quite a while
And I’ve taken my shower

And then I see my email
Has a message just for me
So I move the mouse on over
And I take a little peek

It’s the daily prompt, oh goody
Now I’ve got something to do
And in the privacy of my lounge chair
I write this poem to you

Oh, The Great, Great Love Of Jesus

Oh, the great, great love of Jesus
Overwhelms me every day
And I find that I am trusting
In His mercy and His grace

When I think about His majesty
And How He reigns supreme
I can’t fathom why he gave His life
To save a wretch like me

Oh, the great, great love of Jesus
Reaches out to touch my heart
And I find that I am resting
In the peace He does impart

When I think about His royalty
The King of Kings is He
I am awed that he would take the time
To walk beside of me

Oh, the great, great love of Jesus
Fills me with a raging fire
Beckons me to tell all that I meet
They are His hearts desire

My Disclosure

I am a poem composer
And in way of a disclosure
I give my Jesus exposure
Because I love Him so

He took my life from chaos
Where I was headed for great loss
He paid such a great cost
Because He loved me so

So now I praise with a shout
To tell what He’s all about
His message has to get out
Because He loves you so

I Wait For You

I wait for you
In the quiet night
To come and shed
Your glorious light

I wait for you
In desperate need
To feel your touch
And soon be healed
I wait for you
In hope and peace
I know your love
Is here with me
And when I wait
Upon you Lord
I know my strength
Will be restored
And I shall rise
On eagles wings
I’ll run not tired
I’ll walk and sing
I’ll sing your praises
Loud and clear
For all the world
To plainly hear
I’ll shout glory
Hallelujah
Jesus Christ
My Lord Messiah

A Blogging I Will Go

I got my letter the other day
Directly from the SSA
The wrote me to gladly say
Disability approved

Right now my job I cannot do
Cancer has my chemo due
I have to see the program through
To make my cancer cured

So writing blogs now fills my days
It seems more overworked always
But I have so much left to say
Enjoying this tiime off

Reflection

I’m waiting for the sunrise
The air is filled with fog
I know the light will be delayed
But it  will come along

When all the fog burns off
And sunlight fills the sky
I’ll see the gorgeous frosted trees
As we go driving by

I love a winters frosting
It makes the day go right
To see the glistening branches
Reflecting the sunlight

I only hope that my life
Is a little like this day
That others see the love of Christ
Reflect in what I say

Not only in the words I speak
But in all that I may do
Lord please let my reflection
Always show that I love you

My Heart Cries Out

I still remember when I first met Jesus

Sitting on a couch in Iowa

He came into my heart

Gave me a brand-new start

I knew that He was with me all the way

It’s been over 40 years since that day

When the burden of my sin was washed away

Since then I’ve learned to pray

And to follow in His ways

But most of all I’ve learned to praise His name

My heart cries out to praise Him

For all He’s done for me

His mercy’s overwhelming

His grace is sweet indeed

I lift my hands in worship

To Jesus Christ my King

My heart cries out to praise Him

He is my everything

Today I know He teaches me His truth

And He’s become my guiding light

I trust in Him always

I know He plans my days

I will never be out of His sight

And should this day bring troubles

That make me doubt and fear

I know He’ll comfort me

And in His arms I’ll be

Safe and sound, His love will be so near

My heart cries out to praise Him

For all He’s done for me

His mercy’s overwhelming

His grace is sweet indeed

I lift my hands in worship

To Jesus Christ my King

My heart cries out to praise Him

He is my everything

Fill The Air

You may have seen I got a little antsy
And hit the publish button way to soon
And my asthetic post
Went out with too much haste
So I changed what this quick post was going to do

I was going to talk about my Saviors beauty
Asthetically He’s way beyond compare
Instead I think I’ll say
I’ll praise Him everyday
And hope that you will help me fill the air

Fill it with His  praises
Loud Hosannas ring
Fill it with your worship
Of Jesus Christ our King
Fill with Hallelujahs
Lift your voice and sing
Fill the air with praises
To Jesus  Christ our King

I Lift Him Up

The desire wells up within me

Until I cannot contain it inside

My heart starts to beat a bit faster

And my hands lift up high to the sky

I raise my voice to the heavens

And His praise comes flowing out

My feet cannot keep from dancing

As I worship my Lord with a shout

I lift Him up

The name of Jesus Christ

I lift Him up

The one who gives new life

I lift Him up

My Savior and my Lord

The one that I adore

The King of Kings forever

I lift Him up

I sense His presence around me

As I lift up my voice and sing

Eternal Hallelujahs

To Jesus Christ  my King

I lift Him up

The name of Jesus Christ

I lift Him up

The one who gives new life

I lift Him up

My Savior and Lord

The one that I adore

The King of Kings forever

I lift Him up

He is to be magnified, Jesus

He is to be glorified, Jesus

He is to be exalted

Jesus Christ my Lord

I lift Him up

The name of Jesus Christ

I lift Him up

The one who gives new life

I lift Him up

My Savior and Lord

The one that I adore

The King of Kings forever

I lift Him up

Ever True

Perhaps you don’t have peace today
Or your joy has just run out
Maybe hope has vanished
And your life is filled with doubt

Maybe trials and troubles
Are closing in real fast
You don’t know where to  turn to
And you wonder if you’ll last

There’s an open invitation
That is waiting just for you
Jesus  knocking on your heart
He wants to comfort you

Won’t you ask Him in today
With a simple little prayer
“Jesus come into my heart,
I’m trusting in your grace”

Now just thank Him for His peace
Though you may not feel it yet
Thank Him for His love
And he joy He’s fill you with

But most of all just thank Him
That He waited just for you
To accept His invitation
Now to Him be ever true
