Wouldn’t It Be Nice

Wouldn't it be nice if we had no trials
Wouldn't it be nice if we had no tears
Wouldn't it be nice if we had no struggles
Wouldn't it be nice if we had no fears

We would dance and sing without a worry
We would never need a friend to help
We would go through life without a problem 
We would have it easy every day

But when the storm came up
And the wind blew strong
And we found it was a dream
We'd fall off of that mountain
In sadness and despair
Finding we had no place
Of refuge or repair

God gave trials to fix our focus 
On the fact He'll help us through 
Every test and tear will grow us
Give us strength that can endure
So rejoice when life is trying 

Rejoice when troubles interfere
Realize these moments are a treasure
Meant to draw you closer to His ear
Your faith will be uplifted 
Your heart will be renewed 
His peace will be imparted
His joy overflow

For when your life is toughest
That's when God will shine
When your road seems hardest
His plan is good and kind 
He never will forsake you
Or leave you in despair
Just trust His precious mercy 
And lean upon His grace

Higher Ground

When I’m in the midst of the storm
When waves are gathering round
When the wind is howling and my fear is strong
God sets my feet on higher ground

When I walk through the valley, oh so low
When it seems the mountains abound
When I’ve lost all hope in a soon escape
God sets my feet on higher ground

When the enemy is by my side
When he says ‘m going down
When he torments me with the sins in my past
God sets my feet on higher ground

When sickness comes into my life
When it seems I‘m getting worse
When I don’t know when the healing will come
God sets my feet on higher ground

He never leaves me hopeless
Never leaves my side
He always overwhelms me with his love
And when I finally say goodbye
To this old earthly life
He’ll take me to my mansion above

For when I walk with Jesus
When He guides my every step
I rest assured I’ll always be on higher ground.

It Doesn’t Matter

Will the new year bring a healing
To my feet and shoulder too
It doesn’t matter, Lord
Because I will still praise you

Will the new year bring a blessing
To these finances of ours
It doesn’t matter, Lord
I’ll still praise you every hour

Will I start to work again
And have good response from all
It doesn’t matter, Lord
I will answer when you call

My heart is set to worship you
And lift your holy name
No matter what I may go through
I’ll always lift your praise
And when the storm clouds gather
And my life is rearranged
I’ll lift my voice to heaven
And magnify your name

Will all my strength come back to me
So I can golf again
It’s doesn’t matter, Lord
I’ll praise your mighty name

Should this cancer not quite go away
And further treatment come
It doesn’t matter, Lord
I’ll still proclaim your love

Now, folks, don’t get me wrong
I’m believing God for all
For healing and deliverance
For financial windfall
For cancer to be gone
And me back to standing tall
There’s no doubt in my mind
That He will do it all

But my praise is not based
On what He does for me
My praise goes to Jesus
He is all I need
He is the King of Kings
And I can plainly see
That He deserves my praise
No matter what might be
I will worship Jesus
Until my dying breath
He’s my Lord forever
My songs will never end
His name is just so powerful
His mercy is so great
I’ll lift my hands and praise Him
For His amazing Grace

Praising Through The Pain

Is anyone awake out there?
Can anybody hear?
I sure could use a friend right now
To talk to through my tears.

My back is aching once again
I cannot sleep at all
I took a pain pill hour ago
And I’m afraid I’ll fall

Oh, my God, where are you?
Can you hear my cry?
Why won’t you deliver me?
Why won’t pain subside?

My feet are aching also
It hurts me just to stand
And when I try to walk somewhere
The drop foot seems to land.

The walker helps to get up
And get into my chair
And that is where I sit right now
Not going anywhere

Oh, God, I’m crying out to you
Please heal these pains of mine
I need to know you hear me now
I need you at this time

I will lift my voice in praise
To you, my precious Lord
For you have done so much for me
A fact I can’t ignore

I thank you for your mercy
And I ask you now for more
But even if you leave me here
I’ll worship you, my Lord

I lift your name up high right now
Your glory I proclaim
Your worthy of my worship Lord
Even if my pain remains.

In The Middle Of Your Mess

Weary soul are you lost and feeling hopeless
Have the troubles of this life crushed your strength
Have you wallowed in despair 
Just to find there's sorrow there 
Does it seem like all you do is all in vain

Don't give up on your dreams and your desires 
There is one who can bring all these to pass
In the middle of your mess
He still sees you at your best
He's just waiting for the day when you will call

Jesus, Jesus come and rescue me
Jesus, Jesus open my eyes to see
All the plans you have for me

Jesus, Jesus my hope is in your hands
Jesus, Jesus help me to understand  
You've redeemed me, set me free
Forever yours I want to be

God Shows Up

When I am weary and worn, God shows up

When I am hurting and tired, God shows up

When I seem to have lost my way, God shows up

When I can't seem to bow and pray, God shows up

When I least expect it, God shows up

To help me on my way



He never leaves me without hope

He guides me every day.

His strength becomes what carries me

Through all the storms and tests

I know that when He's by my side

My life can be at rest



When life gets hard, and fear is near, God shows up

When I can’t seem to get in gear, God shows up.

When clouds are all that fills the sky, God shows up

When all I do is wonder why, God shows up

When I least expect it, God shows up

To help me on my way



He never leaves me without hope

He guides me every day.

His strength becomes what carries me

Through all the storms and tests

I know that when He's by my side

My life can be at rest



He's there to hear my every cry

And answer every prayer

So when I seem to drift and sway

He's only a breath away



When I'm at peace, and life seems good, God shows up

When I am on the mountaintop, God shows up

When praise is all my lips will shout, God shows up

When He s all I think about, God shows up

So now I know that every moment,

Every single day

No matter what this world may throw

God will show up

And I will rest in knowing

That all things are for my good

Because he is always right there by me

Waiting to show up!

When their seems to be no hope

When the trial seems to large
Hold on
Hold on to Jesus
Hold on
When the task at hand is scary
Hold on
When the night is dark and lonely
Hold on 
When your faith is disappearing
Hold on
Hold on to Jesus.
Just hold on
He will help you through this test
He will give you peace and rest
He will help you find your way
To a place where souls are calm
Just hold on
He will come to your rescue
He will make the old things new
There is always hope when Jesus enters in
So hold on.

Rejoice In Tribulation

Trials and tribulations
Jesus promised they would come
And they do.
Day after day
Week after week
Seemingly endless
Do I allow them to bog me down,
Get me down,
Drag me down
Bring me down,
And keep me down?
Or do I look at them as mere stepping stones
To a higher plateau with God?
Are they just a bump in the road
On my way to heaven?
Paul said His trials only furthered the gospel.
They became his testimony.
Christ's greatest triumph 
Came through His biggest trial - 
The cross.
So do I rejoice in tribulation, 
Knowing it will bring me a testimony
That will further the Gospel?
Rejoice in the Lord always
And again I say rejoice!

You Found Me

As I sit here and ponder my life
I wonder how I survived 
So many years without you, Lord
Walking close by my side

I looked for some purpose or meaning
But out of control I kept reeling 
I was a wreck without you, Lord 
Being my comfort and guide

Then you found me, 
Desperate and broken
You picked me up out of the ashes
Out of the miry clay I was in
You stood me up and turned me around
And I've never looked back since

There's a spring in my step today
I know you have shown me your ways
I am now safe in your arms, Lord
You're walking with me everyday 

Since you found me
Molded and shaped me
Into a vessel filled up with you
Redeemed and anointed
Your Spirit dwells in me and guides me
I am your child and you are mine

You found me broken and put me together
You found me sickly and healed me forever
You found me lonely and said you’re my child
You found me restless your peace made me mild
You found me sinful and set my soul free
You found me drowning and you rescued me
You found me wandering and showed me the way
You found me angry and taught me to pray

Since you found me
Molded and shaped me
Into a vessel filled up with you
Redeemed and anointed
Your Spirit dwells in me and guides me
I am your child and you are mine
