I’m holding onto Jesus

And He’s holding onto me

And I’m never going to let Him go

Because I know He’ll always

Bring out the best in me

And I know He’ll always love me so

 

Sometimes I can get lazy

My path can go astray

I find myself a long way from His side

But every time I wander

He helps me find my way

And He’s still there with arms held open wide

 

Sometimes my faith can waiver

And my fear can rise up strong

And the doubt inside can cause me some alarm

But every time I stumble

He comes right to my aid

And gathers me into His loving arms

 

But when I am the strongest

And my faith is waxing strong

There’s nothing like His presence in my life

I sing about His glory

I praise Him endlessly

And I worship Him for Hs great sacrifice

 

His promises are true

His love will never fail

His faith in me grows stronger every day

So I will hold on fast

To the love that He bestows

And He will hold me fast all the way

The world

As we know it

Has changed

 

We used to have

Neighborhood parties

Backyard get gatherings

Social events

One-on-one chats

 

Now we have

Facebook

Twitter

Instagram

Snapchat

 

It’s not the same

And I fear

It won’t go back

 

We are

Dis-connected

In our own worlds

Alone

Trying to be together

But apart.

 

We blog

We email

We post

We tweet

 

Hoping to get

Connected

While we are still

Apart.

 

I need to connect

Eye-to-eye

Face-to-face

Voice-to-voice

 

In the same room

At the same time

With the same goal

To be connected

Thirst

Deep down in my soul

Where all my fears arise

My doubts are magnified

And demons testify

Way down deep inside my soul

Where I can’t find

Peace of mind

And joy is far from lasting

 

I thirst

Thirst for something true

Thirst for things not blue

Thirst for living things

That will make me glad

Not sad

Living things

That will lift me up

Not drain my cup

 

I thirst

For my soul’s release

From no inner peace

For me fear’s demise

That I may be wise

For my sorrows end

So I don’t have to pretend

 

How can I quench this thirst of mine?

How can I find

Peace of mind

In the midst of the storms of life

 

Only the Living Water can quench

Only the Living Water can drench

This thirst

This need

This desire

For Joy, Peace and Love.

 

When drink of Him

I will never thirst again

And my thirst

Will be gone

But yet, still longing for more

More peace

More joy

More love

More Living Water.

Flowing from the Father

Mercy Reigns

In His love forgiven

Mercy Reigns

I am His forever

 

There is no greater power

No mortal tongue can know

What length our heav’nly Father

Would go His love to show

 

He spoke and light appeared

The earth, the sun, the sky

He commands them by His word

Yet He chose to die

 

He saw my sin and wretchedness

His love reached out in tears

He gave to me His righteousness

He speaks into my ear

 

Mercy led Him to that cross

Mercy is His way

Mercy paid the final cost

Mercy wins the day

Mercy is my only hope

Mercy, gift so free

Mercy says He loves me so

Mercy rescued me

 

He did not have to come

He did not have to die

God looked down with all His love

His mercy saved my life

To my faithful readers:
 
Words cannot express my gratitude that you take the time to visit this page. I pray God is ministering to you through the words that He gives me to post here.
 
I would like to ask for your prayers. I have Multiple Myeloma Cancer. Tomorrow, I start the process for a Bone Marrow Transplant. This will be a three week hospital stay. We have a mighty army of saints holding us up, and I know the Lord is in control of everything. I have no fear or worry what the future holds, because I know He’s a good God.
 
I will continue to post as I can during this time. I know He has plenty more for me to share with you.
 
May God richly bless each and every one of you.

All the way my Savior leads me

All the way, He walks beside

I can trust His tender mercy

In His love, I will abide

When my trials overtake me

He will come and be my guide

For I knew He’s always with me

In His bosom I survive

 

Safe in His peace from above

Warmed by the light of His love

Comfort He gives

As long as I live

Here in my Saviors arms

 

All the way, He is my Shepheard

Daily taking care of me

I don’t have to fret or worry

When I‘m resting at His feet

I can know His joy through struggles

I can have His lasting peace

All I need is to stay near Him

He will always comfort me.

 

Long may He reign in my heart

He is my strength, my all

Comfort He gives

As long as I live

Here in my Saviors arms

 

All the way, He leads me gently

Let me give myself away

And I’ll know His lasting presence

As He draws me close each day

I don’t need another anchor

He is all my hope and stay

For I know He will protect me

He is my resting place

The Solver

Who can I turn to?
Where can I go
When trouble’s  on every side?
What is the answer
When life is hard
And I just want to run and hide?
How can I cope
With this loss of hope
When I feel so empty inside?
This world cannot answer
The questions I ask
But I know the one who can.
His name is Jesus.  He is my answer
Whatever problem comes my way.
His name is Jesus.  He is the solver
Of all the riddles that fog up my day
He’s my provider,  protector and friend
He is the one whose love never ends
Jesus will be there when
Everything else fades away.
Come meet the Savior
Who gave up His throne
To come down to earth and die
Taste of His mercy
So rich and free
Flowing out like blood from His side
Reach for His grace
And He’ll give it to you
Freely and with no ties
He wants to hold you
Safe on His arms

Who loves me so much
He blesses me all of my days
Daily He listens
To hear every prayer
And leads me in all if His ways
When I am weary
I ask Him for strength
And He sends the spirit of life
When I am sick
I pray He will heal
And He gives me patience to fight

Mercy and Grace are His ways

I know in my heart
His mercy is all that I need
From the most desperate days
To the oft sleepless nights

When I’m sick in my bed
