A simple conversation A request of prayer A cry for help You are chosen by God To be an intercessor To bow your head in prayer For those who confide in you You are chosen by God To quietly pray And seek His face And keep the trust of a friend Do you take this charge solemnly? Do you keep that trust? Or do you share it with others, Supposedly enlisting their prayers? When a friend shares a sorrow, A hurt or a need with you It is only with you - If they want others to know They will tell them. You pray! You intercede to God for them You bring their request before the Lord Do it in your closet, Not for all to see. For this is the high calling off God To be an intercessor.
