I look up to the trees
Their lofty branches raised
A gentle breeze is blowing
The leaves give out a wave
So high and majestic
They give to God their praise
My eyes then look to you Lord
Higher still you reign
I look upon the buildings
That line the city streets
Walls built be man’s hands
Their living needs to meet
So high and filled with wonder
At what their size fulfills
My eyes then look to you Lord
And you are higher still
The mountains line the valley
Rising high in royalty
I gaze upon the snow caps
Such a thing of pure beauty
So high and standing grander
As tall as I can see
My eyes then look to you Lord
Higher still you’ll be
I look beyond the clouds
So high and windswept on
I see the brilliant stars
So high and far beyond
There is no end to outer space
It reaches heights unknown
My eyes then look to you Lord
Higher still and on your throne
Above all else you reign on high
Higher than the earth and sky
I can’t help but magnify
You’re worthy of all praise
Higher still I’ll lift my hands
Higher still is your sweet name
Higher then I’ll ever attain
Name above all names
Many things can try to rise
Unto heights that stretch my eyes
But even when they touch the sky
You are higher still
