I stood by the banks of the river
The river of God’s great grace
It flowed from His throne in heaven
Right down to the human race

All were invited to enter
This stream of His endless love
His grace was poured out to us all
When He gave His only Son

What an act of mercy
What an act of love
What a mighty God we serve
Who loves us all so much
He created us to praise Him
And to walk with Him each day
I love to stand amid the flow
In the river of His grace

So many souls are searching
For something more in life
They’ve tried all kinds of different ways
But are not satisfied

If only they would realize
This awesome truth I share
There is a God in heaven
That longs to bring them care

A simple prayer is all it takes
To enter His embrace
Just ask Him for forgiveness
And step into His grace

Jesus, mighty Savior
My sins I now confess
Forgive me, please, I ask today
Come take away this mess
I promise I will turn away
From sin that rules my life
I’ll make you Lord of all my heart
Until the day I die
