Only By The Blood

No amount of money 
No amount of wealth 
Can buy a smidgen of my Saviors love
No amount of fame
Or power we possess 
Can preserve a home for us above 

No work that we can do
No favor or good deed
Can win eternal life in heavens home
No words that we can speak
Or invention we can make
Can cause our God to overlook our sin

It's only by the blood
He shed upon that treed
Only by the sacrifice 
He made for you and me

Only when you ask the Lord 
To forgive all your sin
Only when you ask Him
To take His place within

Only when He is your Lord 
And Savior of your life
Only then will heaven be
Your home eternally 

No other way to heaven
Has ever been supplied
Though many people think there is a way
No matter what they say
He said He is the way
And that is still the gospel truth today 

His blood must be applied
To your life today
If you desire to stay away from hell
Please ask Him to come in
And make your heart His home
Then you will have a story you can tell

It's only by the blood

Fear of the things from my past
Fear of falling into a trap

When I gave my life to Jesus
He set me free

Shame about my sin
Shame about the words of my lips
Shame about who I have hurt

Free
Free from guilt
Guilt about who I have hurt
Guilt about my sinful past
Guilt about a wasted life

Free from worry
Worry about the provisions of life
Worry about who might hurt me
Worry about where I will find happiness

Now I am free
Free to have joy
Free to have peace
Free to have hope
Free to have His love

 fell into the devil's snare and tried hard to get out
I fought and clawed and kicked real hard I even tried to shout
But no one on this earth could come and free me from this trap
I finally succumbed to him and thought my life would pass

I found myself get comfortable in all the evil ways
But deep inside I knew my life was doomed to be a waste
I tried to medicate my mind and drink myself to joy
But all I did was deeper go into this sin and toil

Then one day someone told me of a man from long ago
Who came to set us free from sin so we could be made whole
I could not believe that such a simple step would pay
But nonetheless I called to Him and this is what I said

"Dear Jesus, I was told one day that you'd forgive my sins
That you died on a cross that day to come and live within
I am weak and tired Lord of fighting off this load
So won't you please forgive me now and I will make you Lord".

Then suddenly the pain was gone, I felt a sweet release
I knew that something changed in me because I now had peace
The drink and drugs were gone and now I only wanted Him
Because He rescued me that day and took away my sin

How wonderful is Jesus to all who call on Him
He'll come and make you whole again and give you peace within
If you don't know the Savior then why not pray my prayer
And you can be made whole again.  Please pray this prayer today?

"Dear Jesus, I was told one day that you'd forgive my sins

Come to Jesus
He is waiting 
Waiting here to comfort you 
Come to Jesus
He is calling
Calling out to rescue you

If you do not know my Savior 
If you have not asked Him in
Now's the time to pray in earnest 
Today's the day to call to Him

Long ago He died to save you
Took your sin upon that cross
You no longer have to worry
Jesus Christ has paid the cost 

Listen close this is important 
He is waiting just for you
Ask the Savior for forgiveness 
Ask the Lord to rescue you

Tell Him that you need His mercy
Tell Him you will follow Him
Thank Him for His great salvation 
When that's done He will come in

He will bring you peace that calms you
He will bring abundant joy
He will fill your heart with His love
You'll have hope forevermore 

A song of praise will rise within you
Hallelujahs fill the air
Angels will rejoice in heaven
One more soul is saved down here

Then you'll share it with your neighbor
He will see the change in you
He will want to share this blessing 
One more soul will be rescued 

Come to Jesus
He is waiting

My Heavenly Father

I once had a Father on earth
Who I barely knew at all
He left us when I was young
And He hardly ever called

We would get a gift at Christmas
And a visit here and there
But through time I grew bitter
And didn’t even care.

The anger inside grew mighty
As I reached my teenage years
I got into things angered my mom
And had her often in tears

I could not find my way through life
I struggled just to survive
The time had to come to turn around
Or I might take my life

Then a friend from a long time ago
Came and told me a story I knew
But He told it in such a different way
I listened and heard the truth

I have a heavenly Father 
Who loves me very much
A heavenly Father up above
Who came my heart to touch

He gave His own son
To die in my place
And covered my sin
With amazing grace 
	
His mercy is greater 
Than all my shame
He’ll live in my heart
And call me by name

And one day he’ll come
And take me home
To a life everlasting
Around His throne

I love my heavenly Father
He takes care of all my needs
My heavenly Father
He’ll always be there for me

Born Again

I was born to be holy; I was born to be free
I was born to take part in His ministry
I was born when the spirit came in like a dove
I was born when I accepted God’s own son

Born again - He gave me new life
Born again – the old man must die
Born again – by the power of His hand
Praise the Lord, I’ve been born again

I was born to be righteous in Christ alone
I was born to live here but make heaven my home
I was born to praise Jesus with all of my heart
I was born to serve Him and to do my part

Not a day goes by that I don’t wonder why
The God of the Heavens would come here to die
When I think of the mercy and grace He displayed
I can’t help but worship His wonderful name

No Fairy Tale

Once upon a time I was a sinner
Caught up in a world of shame
I didn't have much hope
And I really couldn't cope

With the fact that I just could not change
Then I heard about a man named Jesus
They said He was the only Son of God
Because of His great love

He came down from above 
And sacrificed His life upon a cross
They told me if I'd just accept His mercy
And ask Him to come in my heart

He'd wipe away my sin
And give me peace within
And I would have a brand new start
I cried out and I asked Him to forgive me

I told Him I would make Him Lord
And now I have new life
'Cause Jesus made things right 
I'll live hap'ly ever after evermore

The Great Exchange

In my youth my life was filled with fun and laughter
Even though my Dad was gone when I was five 
It was that year that I met my very best friend
And we'll be friends as long as we're  alive

Winters brought the snow and we adored it
Sledding and snow fights did rule the day
Summers gave us tennis, ponds and kickball
And trees were made to climb up all the way

One of those ponds brought us great excitement 
When I was breaking ice and fell on in
My friend did grab a branch and reached to save me
I owe my life to him for what he did

We separated some in later teen years
Him to Vietnam and me to highs
But at our fun fifth high school reunion
We reestablished all our friendship ties 

He talked a lot about his new friend Jesus
I just took it in with no interest 
But then I went to see him out in Iowa 
I asked the Savior in before I left

I started back to church and words of faith
As I had made the great exchange
All the wayward ways I struggled with
Slowly left my life as my heart changed

I exchanged the drugs for purpose
I exchanged the booze for peace
I exchanged the sorrow for a lot of joy
I exchanged the doubt for faith
I exchanged the hate for love 
I exchanged the anger for life I enjoyed 

My life today is full of faith and family 
A wife, three daughters and 5 lovely Grands
And that dear friend and I talk almost daily
About our Saviors love and His great plans

I don't know where you are on your life's journey
But if your at a point you need a change
Why not ask about this man called Jesus 
And find out all about the great exchange

I can’t believe He loved me
Before I knew His Name
I can’t believe He’d save me
And take away my shame
I can’t believe He’d heal me
When I was sick or lame
But He did.  Yes, He did

I can’t believe He’d give me joy
To replace my sorry soul
I can’t believe the peace He left
When He made me whole
I can’t believe the hope inside
He shows me where I’ll go
But He did.  Yes, He did

He did it when He died for me
Upon the cross at Calvary
His sacrifice has set me free
From what my life had been

When I first heard His life’s story
I told myself how can this be
That anyone would die for me
And take away my sin

So I chose I would not believe
What the Bible said was free
That Jesus paid the price for me
And asked me to come in

Now I believe that all those things
I list above are what He brings
Into my life when I can sing
The new salvation song

So come with me and take my hand
I’ll take you to the promised land
And there you’ll find His loving plan
And you too will believe.

Child of the King

Only through Christ the blessings flow
Only through Christ will I ever know
The promise from Heaven He bestows
To all who call on His name

He bought me at such a great price
By becoming my precious sacrifice
Paying the debt of sin in my life
So that now I am redeemed

His blood wiped away all my sin
Now God will never bring it up again
It’s just as if I’d never sinned
Justified by His blood

No longer will sickness rule in my life
Because I am healed by the horrible stripes
Now I claim victory when evils rise
Delivered from pain and disease

My mind is now free from doubt and fear
The thorns that he wore brought a covering here
Now I can now he will always be near
Peace and Joy flood my life today

He opened the way to heaven for me
He calls me His son, and He says I am free
He sets me apart because I believed
Sanctified through the cross

He’s there for me in good times or bad
Giving me guidance that I never had
His Holy Spirit shows me His plan
To prosper my life every day

From now on I’ll praise Him with all of my heart
I’ll sing out my worship, I’ll never depart
His precious love has set me apart
I am a child of the King
