The Roman cross was heavy
His strength was almost gone
A man named Simon helped Him
To where His death would come
The nails were driven deep
Into His feet and hands
The cross was raised up tall
The torture now began
When He came as a baby in a manger
Shepherds praised Him and Kings bowed down
But they did not know that He had come
To die and save us all
He raised Himself for breath
Then He sunk down into pain
This crucifixion torment
Went on until His end
They put Him in a borrowed tomb
They sealed it with a stone
One day passed and then another
The disciples felt alone
When He came as a baby in a manger
Shepherds praised Him and Kings bowed down
But they did not know that He had come
To die and save us all
Then the stone rolled back. The guards slept on
The Lord came out. The victory won
No more would death hold Him down
He has risen to claim His throne
I’ll lift my voice singing Hallelujah
I’ll lift my voice singing praise the Lord
Forever He is risen. Forever He is holy
Forever He’s the King upon the throne
I’ll lift my voice singing Hallelujah
I’ll lift my voice singing praise the Lord
Forever He is risen. Forever He is holy
Forever He’s the King upon the throne
When He came as a baby in a manger
Shepherds praised Him and Kings bowed down
But they did not know that He had come
To die and save us all
Then to live again and give us all
Eternal life
its inspiring to see people motivated by their beliefs create lasting, impactful art; nice poem
