I looked up in the bleak darkness of the night time sky when I can't find my way in the dark I saw a light smaller than a speck of dust Then I saw another and another then multitudes on multitudes Filling the sky like sand fills the beach Like water fills the oceans Like dirt fills the ground beneath Flickering, some brighter, some not What would be giant masses up close Reduced to pinhead by distance Millions of miles away Then I saw a light rising in the Eastern sky Large and glorious filling the earth beneath with its light But it did not produce light bur only reflection of light Bright orange in the horizon larger than life slowly rising up the dark sky the first lights growing dim Reaching the pinnacle then receding downward growing dimmer as it gave in to the day Then I saw a third light Only the rays at first Bouncing off the clouds in reds, yellows, oranges Skimming across the sky Brighter and brighter Rays upon rays Then an explosion of light brighter than all the others so bright it was hard to look at Filling my eyes Filling the sky Larger and larger as it rose up high All the other lights vanished Only one remained Filling the earth with it's glow Running across the sky casting shadows all the day long Then the light recessed back to the horizon again castings glowing colors off the waiting clouds until the source of light disappeared behind the horizon leaving in its wake wave after wave of brilliant light Until darkness once again appeared I saw a light The Light The Light brighter than all other lights The Light that reveals the inward parts the inward thoughts and intents The Light that penetrates the darkness in my soul The Light that was from the beginning and will always be Nothing can hide from this Light No one cam hide from this Light This Light never fades It never goes out It transcends all other lights This Light reveals sin This Light expels the darkness of the soul This Light needs no other light because there is no other light thar compares This Light is the Sun This Light is Jesus.
