I once had friends who partied long
And I was glad to join them
Without a care
My life was there
From day to day we lived a whim

When trouble came to our small town
I was guilty by association
Everyone knew
Me and my crew
Were lost in our imagination

Today I’ve put aside these ways
My life is full of Jesus
I praise His name
I’m not the same
I know that He’s my Savior

When people see me know
There is association
With things of God
And of His word
He is my inspiration
