Some people say all the time
That protesting is just fine
They claim it’s just as American
As a slice of apple pie

And while I agree they are right
I still see it not very bright
When they riot like dogs in the street
To make us aware of their plight

If they call this patriotic
I think it’s quite idiotic
Because when they break the laws of this land
They’re claims seem quite ironic

Let them show their cause in peace
And voice their dislikes in the street
There is no need for violence or pain
And we all can be more at ease
