I think some dogs look funny
But others say they’re cute
Little ones that seem to fold
A wrinkle in their suit
I guess I’m in my dog days
My wrinkles grow in length
Though I still feel much younger
I found my source of strength
It’s not in what this earth provides
Nor in it’s treasures vast
I get my strength from God above
His truth will always last
So if you find you’re drifting
Into your later years
Without much strength of spirit
I’ll whisper in your ear
Make Jesus Christ your Lord today
He’ll bring you a new life
Then when you need encouragement
His word will come alive
In response to the daily prompt Wrinkle
Well done. I liked the poem a lot.
