I Lift My Praise

I lift my praise
With every breath
And I will always
Do my best
To lift the name
Of Jesus high
For He has given
Me new life

Born as a babe
In manger hay
Left heavens home
To come that day
Shepherds and wise men
Came to praise
Then I will join
And lift His name

He preached to thousands
Words if life
And healed the sick
As they came by
He angered leaders
Stuck in pride
And they cried out
To crucify

The beat Him bad
And spit on Him
Scourged Him near death
And they mocked Him
A crown of thorns
A wooden cross
Nailed hands and feet
Oh, what a cost

I lift my praise
To Jesus Christ
My highest praise
My love, my life
I'll worship Him
For all my days
For He is worthy
Of my praise

He gave His life
Away that day
Our sins to pardon
Our debtn to pay
They laid Him in
A borrowed tomb
He rose again
Now heaven’s home

Oh, Hallelujah to the Lord of Lords
Emmanuel with us, the King of Kings
Jesus my Lord, the crucified
I lift my praise, I give my life
Jesus my Lord, the crucified
I lift my praise, I give my life
