Before me there arises quite a fire 

It rose up from a spark to mighty glow 

I sit and watch it dance to gentle breezes

The heat brings warmth amidst the evening cold 

It brings to mind a thought I often walk past

If how there is a warmth within my soul

It longs to warm the hearts of those around me

If I’d only let my spirit be more bold

All of us who know Christ are a blessing

To a world that’s lost a dying in their sin

If we don’t let this spark that shines within us

Let them see the light that comes from him

Open up your heart to those around you

Let the burning embers bring a flame

You’re the light that shines amidst their darkness

Let the Holy Spirit burn again
