Sometimes I feel all grown up
Like I knew all  needed to know
Then someone comes
And makes me feel dumb
My ego has nowhere to go

It is then I am meek as a baby
And I try to take in every word
For there’s so much to learn
The truth I do yearn
As I hear the sweet voice of my Lord

It is time to rely on the bible
And the wisdom that God has put there
He will show us the way
Teach us day after day
If we only will lend Him and ear
