Can You Hear Me?

Can you hear me calling you?
Can you hear my still, small voice?
Or is the noise of this world all you hear?
Can you hear me calling you?
It’s time to make your choice
Will you follow the world or follow me?
Will you follow the world or follow me?

When the trials that you face become too much to bear
And the storms of life are drowning out my voice
That is the time for you to wait and pray
And not give in to a worldly choice

These are many times that you are searching for the truth
And you cannot figure out which way is clear
Your friends will try to calm you with their words
And when I speak, I know it’s hard for you to hear.

For I will tell you that my plans for you are always for your good
And that I’ll always be right here by your side
The storms and trials are oh so big and you don’t know what to do
I can give you peace when you are mine

Can you hear me calling you?
Can you hear my still, small voice?
Or is the noise of this world all you hear?
Can you hear me calling you?
It’s time to make your choice
Will you follow the world or follow me?
Will you follow the world or follow me?

    1. I think often we fail to quiet ourselves enough to listen to the voice of God. He does say “Be still and know that I am God”. How often do we take the time to be still. Thanks for the nice comment

  1. I liked the part about when the trials come that is when it really counts. He is so gentle with me about this. I’m glad He encourages me to grow in faith and love even though it isn’t always easy.
