Today I honor those who served
To bring us liberty
The warrior’s whO gave their time
To make thus country free

Throughout the years they fought and died
Always victorious
The strongest and the bravest force
Of soldiers glorious

They sacrificed their lives and health
To keep our children safe
Many are stuck in bodies worn
From pain there’s no escape

Our veterans deserve our praise
For sacrifices made
Without their sweat and blood spilt out
Our country would soon fade

Those serving now in countries far
Need every single prayer
They face our enemies for us
Our country’s hope they bear

So on this Independence Day
Take time to honor them
By flying flags and lifting prayers
For women and for men
Who give their all to keep us free
