Let your light shine, Lord, shine on me.

Hold it before me so I can see

All the hurt in this world that I am in

So I can make a difference

 

Help me see sickness, and pray for health

Help me see poverty, and pray for wealth

Help me see suffering, and pray for peace

Help me see bandage, and beg release.

 

But more than just praying is what they need

Lord, help me put in just one little seed

Lord, give me the words that I need to say

To turn their lives to your sweet ways.

 

Help me to bind up the wounded soul

Help me give comfort to those that mourn

Help me give joy to the sad and weak

Help me show peace in each word speak

 

Then when they ask me just why I care

It gives me a chance that I can share

How the love of Jesus has changed my life

And how He make them feel more alive
