Open my eyes, Lord, let me see

Your amazing mercy

Ever keeping me from harm

Never leaving your strong arms

Open my ears, Lord,  let me hear

As you tell me why I’m here

Ever showing me your plan

Never letting go my hand

Amazing is your love for me

Wonderful and strong

You’re right there in front of me

So I will not go wrong

And if I wander from the path

You plan to lead me down

You’ll do great things to get me back

Onto the higher ground

Open my mind, Lord,  help me think

On the true and holy  things

Ever mindful of your word

Never saying things that hurt

Open my heart, Lord, help me feel

How much your love is deep and real

Ever loving every one

Never, never, never done

In a world that is lost and is out of control

And a moral decay in the land

When right is called wrong and evil is good

One wonders how this fits God’s plan

Those of us who know He does all for good

And that He wants His glory to win

Must realize this chaos the world seems to us

Should make us all live more like Him

When I live like Him, His love will shine forth

When I live like Him blind will see

When I live like Him others will see His peace

And they too will cry to be free

When I live like Him, my joy should explode

When I live like Him lame will walk

When I live like Him I will tell of His love

And my faith will show up as I talk

Ww sit here and grumble about the demise

Of the trouble our country is in

Yet it’s in our power to change it for good

If we’ll just start to live like Him

When I live like Him I will never condemn

When I live like Him I will pray

When I live like Him I will look for the good

In each person who comes ’round my way

And the world will see Jesus in each of our lives

And they’ll see how He truly loves them

They will know that God cares, wherever they are

If only we live just like Him.

Are you sitting there lonely

When trials surround you

And days start to spin

Just look up to heaven

The God or creation

Is guiding your life.

He’s there when you need Him

Once I was the devil’s puppet toy

Now I’m not, thanks to God

I was used to plan his evil ploys

Now I’m not no more

I was quite a hurtful man back then

Used my words to inflict others pain

No more following his will
