I Will Exalt

I will exalt the name of Jesus
Tell of His wondrous love for me
How He left His home in heaven
To come and die for me

I will exalt the name of Jesus
Tell how His grace has set me free
He rose up from the borrowed tomb
So I could live eternally

He’s the Lord of my life
The light of my soul
My rock and fortress strong
He’s the joy of my heart
The peace of my mind
He’s my hope and the coming King

I will worship Him forever
And devote my life to Him
For He has purchased my salvation
And has come to live within

For His grace has pardoned me
His mercy wipes away my sin
And now I am set free

No more pain and no more sorrow in that holy place
I will realize I got there only by His grace

Jesus you turn dark to light
Jesus you have won the fight

Free from all my past of sin
Free from troubles deep within
Free from what my life has been

Free from playing satan’s games
Free from being quite insane
You’ve showed me a new way

So all the world can hear
That Jesus is the Lord of all
There’s nothing now to fear

His mercy and His grace abound
To all who call His name.

Sometimes in the night He calls to me
Reminding me that He will meet my needs
Whispering He’s come to give me peace
If I’ll only walk each day with Him
 
Sometimes in the day He calls my name
Reminding me that I am not the same
Whispering he took my guilt and shame
If I’ll only make Him Lord of my life
 
He leads me by the waters sweet
He restores my longing soul
He walks with me in paths of righteousness
He’s my Shepherd and my Lord
And even when I walk through valleys dark
His rod and staff are by my side
He’ll anoint my head with Holy Spirt oil
And In His house I will abide
 
Sometimes in the quiet He speaks to me
Reminding me that he’s right there withe
Whispering He’ll be with me eternally
If I’ll only make Him Lord of my Life

Worship His sweet name forevermore

My Prayer

I bowed my head and heard His voice

“My son, it’s time to make your choice.

Will you follow this world and it’s ways

Or follow me all of your days?”

 

I said “Dear Lord, I follow you

In everything I say and do.

I want your love to flow through me

For this entire world to see”

 

He then spoke in his loving way

“My Son, your life is now in sway

The world still has it’s hold on you

It’s time you showed your love is true”

 

I said “Dear Lord, what must I do

To prove that I would follow you”

He came real close to me and said

“My child, your self needs to be dead.

 

No more can sin be part of you

No more will lies and cheating do

No more can pride lift up your head

No more can selfish ways be bred

No more can words be harsh and cruel

No more can anger be the rule

No more can sin be part of you

If to me you’ll dare be true”

 

I bowed my head and closed my eyes

And said a prayer that reached the skies

I asked him to forgive my ways

Vowed that I would change this day

 

I’ll put aside those things I did

That aren’t spawned from your love within

And men will see the light shine through

In everything I say and do.

 

 

I felt His loving hands touch mine

And felt His holy love divine

He said “My child, that’s all I ask

I knew that you could do the task”

 

So from now on, please let me know

If you His love I do not show

Let mercy reign and grace abound

To everyone who comes around

 

For my desire is plan to see

That my Lord is pleased with me

For that is what my life is for

To bring much pleasure to my Lord
