The Roaming Heart

I’ve been the one who appeared to be good
Singing and praising the Lord
I’ve been the one who all thought was meek
Knowing a lot in the word

But inside my pride was boiling up
I made real bad choices alone
I put on a mask of being so good
But deep down inside my heart roamed

Then God brought me low before His great cross
I realized the depth of my sin
I started to live an authentic faith
Where Christ reigned supreme within

Today I watch daily that pride does not rise
My wife helps my eyes to behold
My Savior is there to help me along
I thank Him that He brings me low

Great Practice

I love to watch gymnastics
The athletes are superb
They balance on a little beam
And fly above the earth

Between the bars called parallel
They toss themselves and swing
They vault and spin and land so fair
They do most anything

Great practice and long years are spent
To learn the feats they do
Just as anything in life
It’s really up to you

What do you take the time to learn
What is your chosen path
If you would choose a Godly life
It’s His word that will last

The Bible is our source of strength
Where all the truth is heard
So take the time practice great
In God’s most Holy word

Forever Love

He loves us always
Yes it is true
Forever His love
Abides with you

Through sunshine and rain
His love abides
Through sorrow and pain
His love does not hide

When difficult times
Come in like a flood
His love will be there
Always enough

When i feel defeated
When my hope is gone
His love will hold me
And bring me along

When heartache has touched me
When life disappoints
His love will uplift me
His spirit anoints

There’s no situation
His love will not win
Forever His love
Is settled within

All But Tame

I Dream of Genie was a favorite show
For all my kids when on the grow
The laughed at how she folded arms
Providing good but sometimes harm

Aladdin was a movie name
The genie there was all but tame
He made us laugh and wish that we
Could have a genie just like he

But genie’s will not bring us peace
Joy and hope they can’t release
If you need these and also love
The place to look is God above

He may not fold His arms and blink
He may not work as you would think
But He will fill your life with good
More than a genie ever could

Sweet Mercy Flows (New song and video)

I received this song as a tune this morning and was then given the words. I felt an urgency to record it right away and post it today. This rarely happens, so I feel from the Holy Spirit that someone really needs this today. I pray you will be blessed by this rough recording. May the words minister grace unto the hearers! (Words follow the video)

When I speak of His mercy I speak of His love
Gentle and peaceful flood from above
Multiplied blessings more than enough
When I speak of His mercy I speak of His love

When I live in His mercy I live in His peace
No fear of tomorrow my life us at ease
All of my days the enemy fleas
When I speak of His mercy I speak of His peace

Sweet mercy flow through me
Sweet mercy flow through me
Help me to show
So others will know
Your mercy abounds in me

When I cry for His mercy I rest in His grace
His arms wrap around me I see His dear face
I will stay in His presence here in this place
When I cry for His mercy I rest in His grace

All my life is found in His loving arms
Help me always be down on my knees
Reaching out in love to my God above
Let His mercy flow so all will know

Sweet mercy flow through me
Sweet mercy flow through me
Help me to show
So others will know
Your mercy abounds in me

Set Fast

Wonder what tomorrow brings
Silent worry when birds sing
Troubled over everything
This used to be my way

I’m glad the days are gone and past
When I would worry to the last
My sights are now always set fast
On what God has in store

God says do not fret or stew
Over things that trouble you
He will always see you through
So put your trust in Him

Glory Abounds

They turn up the volume
When driving their car
The music blares loudly
The ground trembles hard

That bass beat repeats
As the sound echoes on
I try to zone out
But I’m deaf from the pound

Then I have an idea
I turn up the sound
I roll down the window
The music comes loud

High and majestic
Holy is He
Lord of Creation
Full of mercy

High Hallelujahs
Worship the King
Crank out the praises
His glory we sing

This world can’t compete
With that heavenly sound
When we sing His praises
His glory abounds

Hold Onto Jesus

I’ve got to hold onto Jesus and let go of me
If I want to be all that I can be
There’s a much better life just waiting for me
If I’ll hold onto Jesus and let go of me

My life was tangled and tortured
The sin stains were all in display
I had quite a collection of terrible things
Seems I never could find the right way

I was destined for doom and misfortune
My path seemed to be laid out
In a stupor I headed to church one day
To see what the fuss was about

When I walked in the door they were singing
Their voices were filled with great joy
I sat in the back wondering what to do next
As my head split in two from the noise

When singing was finished the preacher got up
He shouted out Praise the Lord
Then He said is there one who does not know the way
It’s time for you now to come forward

I don’t know what compelled me to rise to my feet
I slowly walked up to the front
The tears started flowing as prayers were uplifted
The pastor then gave me a hug

As he stood there with arms wrapped around me
He said Jesus Loves you my son
Confess all your sins
Give your life up to Him
You’ll never regret when it’s done

I closed my eyes
I bowed my head
I prayed that prayer
My heart leapt from my chest
The peace that came in
And the joy that I felt
I knew something changed
Inside I could tell
I raised up my arms and began to rejoice
Thank you sweet Jesus for saving my soul
The people all lifted their voice in sweet praise
I knew that my life had drastically changed

As I left that old church later on in the day
I made up my mind to not turn away
I’d hold onto new life the old was now gone
I’d hold onto Jesus and sing this new song

I’ve got to hold onto Jesus and let go of me
If I want to be all that I can be
There’s a much better life just waiting for me
If I’ll hold onto Jesus and let go of me

God’s Great Inspiration

I waited for the word today
With great anticipation
This day is full of hope
And God’s great inspiration

Then when the word appeared
A song was in my heart
He fills my soul with singing
His words He does impart

If you want to see these songs
His voice does speak to me
Just read my previous post
And His words you will see

Settled in His Grace

VMy days can get so lonely
When I try to walk alone
But there’s no reason this should be the case
He promised to be with me
Until the very end
I’ll daily set my eyes to see His face

He’s with me in my spirit
I must listen carefully
His voice is calling out most every day
He wants a conversation
He wants my company
He wants to walk with me and guide my way

To be ever in His presence
To be always by His side
This Is what I long for
This is my desire
Walking close beside Him
Step by step each day
Hearing words of hope
Settled in His grace

The sweet sweet love of Jesus
Is always there for me
In good times and in bad He’s always near
By faith I feel His presence
My spirit knows His breath
When I remember this I’ll never fear

To be ever in His presence
To be always by His side
This Is what I long for
This is my desire
Walking close beside Him
Step by step each day
Hearing words of hope
Settled in His grace

Knowing Him
Loving Him
Praising Him
Hearing Him
All I need
He provides
Ever present
In my life

To be ever in His presence
To be always by His side
This Is what I long for
This is my desire
Walking close beside Him
Step by step each day
Hearing words of hope
Settled in His grace
